We loved our stay here! The location was perfect for us. It was just enough off the beaten path to not feel busy and touristy, but within walking distance to a number of sights and transportation options. The staff here are wonderful! They were helpful with restaurant recommendations, anything we needed for our room, and were just genuinely so kind. Our room was spacious and the layout allowed for lots of places to put our stuff. It was definitely our favorite room on our trip! I also have to put in a word for the cafe across the street, Le Bac a Sable. While the baked goods are not Japanese, they are yummy. The tarts, specifically, are amazing! That paired with their wonderful bold coffee became a favorite addition to our day.

Great location and walkable distance to several tourist areas, such as the Yasaka Pagoda, and easy commute to other notable areas, such as Nishiki market via city bus. Great food stores, cafes, and convenience stores nearby. The staff was very helpful and eager to interact with us, great customer service.

The best hotel I’ve stayed at here in Japan so far. Really pleasant and nice workers. The ambiance and decor is so calming in a traditional modern Japanese style. Didn’t have breakfast included as an option, however the hotel does sell açaí bowls with bread. They have free coffee, water, and tea for all guests. Desk attendant helped us send our luggage to another hotel.

Perfect location that is a short walk near train and subway stations. Also perfectly located between downtown Kyoto’s shopping and restaurants, and the historic sightseeing area. Room was large, clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
