I loved my stay at Comfort Hotel. The room was very spacious and it was so affordable. My room faced the train station but I didn't hear any of the trains coming or going. This hotel offered free snacks and breverages at the huge lounge downstairs. Wonderful after a day of sightseeing around Kyoto. They also offer a free lending library. So unique. I loved the location too. This hotel is right across the street from the Toji Station. Very convient if you want to go to Nara Park or Arashiyama district. There's a great grocery store right down the street as well as the To-ji Temple. I loved everything about this hotel and will definitely come back to it again if I ever go back to Kyoto. It is by far the best hotel out of the 4 hotels that I stayed at in Japan.

This property was very nice, clean, and safe. The only thing that was a con was that it was a little far from the main areas. About a half hour away on bus. But the good thing is that the bus stop is right in front of the hotel and there plenty of dining options very close by and shopping.

Everything was great. A few notes though. When they say room fits 6 they really mean 3 twin beds. And there was no way it can fit 6 people. Also For the first time ever a hotel is charging for a hotel room key that was lost I can’t believe it cost 1000. Otherwise staff are friendly. And the hotel is clean. Family friendly.

In my 3 week trip to Japan, this was the best hotel i stayed in. It was new, clean, rooms were much bigger than your average hotel in Japan. Very clean and staff were great too. On side laundry which was super easy to use. If you are staying in Kyoto, this is the hotel to book.

The staff made this property so great. They were so nice and welcoming and attentive! Some of them also spoke english so it was very easy to communicate. The rooms were also really nice and clean!

We loved this hotel! The bed was by far the most comfortable of all the places we stayed in Japan. The hotel was so clean and comfy. They had a pretty decent breakfast, we only did the breakfast one day. Big lounge area downstairs with tea and some beer and wine. Washer and dryer in the hotel for a small amount to use. The room was small but comfy. WiFi was excellent and you could log in to streaming sites on the tv which was awesome. Right up the street from Toji temple. Easy to get into the central areas from here but definitely a little further out. We really liked this hotel.

Our family of 13 stayed 9 nights. It’s super walkable. A 10-12 minute walk to Kyoto station, or the Kintesu metro (private rail line) is right across the street and just one stop away (180¥) from Kyoto Station if you don’t care to walk. The lobby library is a nice place to relax and enjoy the complimentary afternoon tea and snacks. Laundry with 3 wash & dry machines (600¥) and takes total of 2 hours is convenient, but always in use. Only time we were able to access it was at 6 AM, and mid-day when guests were out. There is a Lawsons next door as well as a bakery. Right next to the bakery, there is a traditional Japanese Restaurant that serves excellent set meals for only 1,100¥ or about $7.50, run by mom & pop…I booked 7 rooms, all with double beds for our entire family. The rooms are decent sized for Japanese hotel. Two minor deficiencies - housekeeping did not clean glasses & coffee cups and the room does not have a closet & there is limited space to hang clothes. The front desk staff is friendly, but it’s difficult to communicate with them at times due to language barrier, but not a big deal. Overall great hotel for the price and I would definitely stay here again.

Convenient and accessible. There's a bus close by, a train station, Lawson, 7/11, restaurants etc. Toji temple is 5 minutes walk. You can also walk to a mall. I will definitely stay here again. The staffs are great too! Very helpful. They also offer free snack/sweet time and cocktail time at certain time of the day. Love this area and place!

Fantastic Hotel near Kyoto Station

Fantastic hotel across the street from a metro line which is one stop away from Kyoto station! Hotel staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, service was top notch. We were even able to drop off our luggage to be delivered to our next stop in Tokyo through the hotel which is extremely convenient. Rooms were clean and amenities were great. Would highly recommend this hotel!
