Nice but a bit Noisy

It's a very nice budget hotel with on-site parking lots and the room together with the attached bathroom is also well-maintained and very clean, which is commendable. But our only gripe is that since the hotel and a gym fitness center also sharing the same building but the flooring and the wall isn't laced with any sound-proofing materials, it can be a bit hard to catch a peaceful sleep, especially for a senior citizen like my Dad. As we constantly kept hearing loud bangs/thuds generated by the fitness apparatus/equipment knocking/dropping/slamming onto the floor, which can be quite annoying.

On the plus side, it was cheap. The photo in the online ad was misleading; the room I got was very basic - one single bed and a shared bathroom - and no shower curtain. The traffic was quite noisy, too. Very basic amenities too...the only food available in the hotel was a collection of instant noodles. (There was a brochure for food delivery, but it was stuck to the table, making it impossible to read.) As for a TV, well, it says a lot about a place which demands an 800 ringgit deposit... As a short-stay backpacker spot, it is just about adequate, but we found far superior hotels in town for about the same price.
