An eventful stay in KK le Meridien

Pros Location hardworking friendly staff shout out to Concierge team Rocky Natashkumar from bar Malcom ,Ricky in front office club lounge team GM Suresh who tried to fix issues as they arose ( see cons below) very comfortable bed, meals, breakfast Cons: -*****caution very slippery marble type floors panels in bathroom /shower I slipped and fell dislocating my shoulder! Accidents do happen but can be better prevented - maybe non slip mats/ different material to the marble is what I would suggest Hotel team helped arrange transport to hospital and were very apologetic ,and empathetic however - very poor condition of bath tub in 2 rooms and carpets (see pics) which I fed back directly to GM. I was looking forward to a bath but couldn’t as unpalatable.

Old Hotel with much to improve. For example, carpets everywhere are stained and frankly disgusting and displeasing, especially in the rooms themselves. The wallpaper held a hoard of dust and the headboards of the beds where disgustingly stained too. The pillows smelt so strongly of hair grease and were so gross.

Fantastic stay we had the best sunset views over the bay the staff were all extremely friendly and efficient. We are coming back in a couple if days after we go to sandakan. Highly recommend this hotel the markets and restaurants all close

We really enjoyed our recent stay. The highlights were: absolutely wonderful staff, some of the best food as well as variety for breakfast a d dinner in the club lounge, a great pool and plenty of shaded sun lounges, fantastic live music Wed. to Sat. And great location.
