Great old school beach cottage in beautiful Kill Devil Hills. This one is not your typical beach box home. It has all the character of the fine homes built on the outer banks years ago. Knotty pine walls, floors, and ceilings are absolutely breathtaking. This home is located near milepost 10 which is almost middle of the outer banks ocean area. This area may also be refered to as the OBX (outer banks). You are close to EVERYTHING. 5 minute walk to the beach (across the street). 5 minutes to Nags Head, Kitty Hawk, Wright Brothers Memorial. A great day trip would be to drive down the beach and really see the best that the outer banks has to offer. Short drive through the Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo, and Hatteras areas takes you to the ferry and a 30 minute trip over to Ocracoke. This would really be an incredible day trip adventure.

Home has 3 full bedrooms (2 are extremely Over-Sized), 1 King Bed, 1 Queen, 1 double, and a Bunk bed that sleeps 3. Two full baths and and over sized outside shower as well. Pet friendly. Non-Smoking.

We provide comforters, pillows, and blankets but guests are required to bring their own sheets, towels, linens, and toiletries.

This beach house has great location, its great value for your money. Very cozy, the perfect vintage charm like OBX houses use to be. They have everything you need. The owners were VERY helpful an very informative with very fast reponses whenever we had questions. Excellent communication. We will be staying here again in the future!

Perfect Beach Getaway in Kill Devil Hills!We just returned from an amazing stay at this beautiful home and we can’t say enough good things about it! The house was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a relaxing beach vacation. The kitchen was perfect for cooking meals, and we loved starting our mornings on the deck with coffee.The location was perfect! Just a short walk to the beach and close to local shops, restaurants, and attractions like the Wright Brothers Memorial. The neighborhood was quiet and family-friendly, which made our stay even more enjoyable.The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful, providing helpful tips for our trip and checking in to make sure everything was going smoothly. You can tell they truly care about their guests' experience.Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat or an active beach adventure, this place is a fantastic home base. Kitchen was good, however, both bathroom curtain liners had mildew and the upstairs bathroom ceiling had mold. For the bedrooms, the pillows were yellow and the bunkbed was so squeeky, the kids had to share the queen bed. The listing did not mention we needed to bring sheets and towels, but were notified a few weeks prior we had to bring those items. The house also had no toilet paper or hand soap. Needed to go to the store right away just to have the basics. Good if traveling on a budget and you don't have to buy sheets to fit the beds.

The location of this property is great and communication with the host is wonderful. Host even helped us with the return of property that we left behind. The check in was a bit awkward in that we received one single key in the mail(no keypad) which we had to hide outside and then mail back after our stay. The cleaners were so/so but the house is in need of a deep clean and some repairs. While the house itself is charming, the furniture is worn and needs cleaning. With a little TLC this could be an amazing property!

So lucky to snag this house!

Check in was simple, received a key and note in the mail from the homeowner who also verified we received it. We had previously stayed in hotels and were looking for something more cost effective that would accept pets. I was not sure we would find a place to rent in a short time, but so glad we did. The location is awesome, close to everything and only 1 block down and a block up to public access. The house was great, it was clean, beds are good, kitchen has plenty of cooking utensils and the homeowner Hal was attentive. Looking forward to future stays!

Bday Weekend Retreat

My wife and I along with some friends loved this home for our weekend trip. The house is in a perfect location being a short walk from multiple restaurants and the beach. This is a place we would easily stay at again. Hal the host was quick and responsive with his communication.

Cozy beach cottage in a GREAT location!!

Our family enjoyed staying in this beach cottage for our first OBX vacation. This house had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. Hal, the owner was quick to respond to the few inquiries that we had. As advertised, the location of this house is excellent! Short walk to the beach, surf shops and restaurants with a great little pizza shop right at the end of the block. Our boys especially enjoyed the giant candy store within view of either of the balconies.

this place was great for my brothers and i for a long weekend... fishing out of Oregon inlet and it was close to many restaurants and the beach so we didn't have to drive much.
