I was over charged and have proof of initial payments. I was not giving the suite I paid for due to it being “out of service” for 2 years.. yet no one notified me after I purchased my reservation. The front desk staff was not helpful when bringing my concerns to them upon arrival and check in. The pool was not clean and cloudy, with bandaids, hair etc floating. I’m not a high maintenance person but it was not worth the 1300. We unfortunately will be staying elsewhere next trip to OBX. i will say it’s conveniently located to things.

The hotel was okay overall, it could stand for some renovations. Not a bad location. Beach was easy to get to. The access did have stairs at the top which lead down to the beach so it made it slightly difficult for a wagon but manageable. The pool was super cloudy but was enjoyable. The room felt kind of small for a family of four. Overall it was a good trip

I would categorize it as a beach hotel. They're always a little dated and sandy feeling, but clean and convenient. The Expedia site says Beachfront, which it is not. It is across the street from the beach which is very misleading.

Property is very dated. AC would not completes cool the room, only near the AC unit was cool. Safety lock on door was broken and missing. Pool was cloudy and looked unsafe for swimming. Not a place I would stay again.

Misleading Descriptions

There was an issue with my deposit. I thought I paid a deposit but apparently the hotel does not do deposits. They said they were trying to get that fixed with hotels.com. It is not directly on the beach. You do have to walk across the street and if you have items such as a cooler and chairs, etc. you will need to park in the empty parking lot across the street. No golf course and no breakfast which a lot of guests complained about. Only coffee and juice. Room was okay. Bathroom is very small with little ventilation. Hotel needs to be updated badly. This is a last time for me and my family.

I always bring my own sheets and pillows and thankful I didn’t because I put the bedspread in the floor and when I went to pull it back up on the bed when leaving there was blood on the bedspread. Not acceptable!!

Overall the room was decent I will say cleaning staff needs to check behind/under the beds found a hair net, and some left over hair on the bottom of the sheet. I always check for bed bugs and nothing there to see. But check in was awesome. Pool looked very green so we didn’t get in. Will stay again just would like to see a little more clean, and also bottom floor smelled like cat pee!!!!

When we arrive I noticed the property wasn't as nice as the photos I saw, The room was smaller than I expected for the money. Out side of our room was a green mm on the floor and it's was there for two days before someone cleaned it up. I'm not saying it was a bad place to stay but the room was smaller than I expected it to be. Close to the beach and that was a plus. I think they should put some money into redoing the rooms, there was black mildew in the grout around the bathtub and buildup in the corners. Would I stay there again, sure if I got a better price. Sent $ 1049.00 for four nights. I think we could have done better for that kind of money.

Its OK,

Close to the beach, but it is not great good quality space. Not worth it more then $120 for a night, But cost more then $400 over the night is too much

The hotel has a great location. They take a copy of you drivers license which is odd. The virtual person on a screen for check in is strange. The ac unit had visible mold, found a roach in the tup, pool was very cloudy and hair was on the sheets. If they did some updates and maintenance it would be a great stay.

The room wasn’t really clean. On the web side it’s says that breakfast was included but it’s wasn’t. The swimming pool was dirty too
