I did the online check in to speed up the check in process, which was nice. Front desk clerk was very nice. I chose this hotel because the website said breakfast was available, but then when we got there were told it was a "grab and go" bag. Available from 7am to 10am, but the office didnt open until 9am so we were out of luck as we left at 7am. Probably will not come back because the breakfast was the selling point. Otherwise it was clean, friendly staff, and a great location.

It was a two star hotel but could charge higher rate because of its location. Most people stay there one night for the easy access to Mount Rushmore. We did for the same reason. It’s a basic style hotel with the usual amenities. The close proximity to Mount Rushmore was great for us because we could enjoy the light ceremony of Mount Rushmore that night after we checked in, since the parking validation was good for one year, we went back again the next day to really enjoyed walking the president trail, the shops and the museum leisurely. The third day we visited the Crazy Horse memorial and Horsethief Lake that both were close by and enjoyed the sunset at the lake. Another good reason for choosing this hotel instead of some more expensive ones in Keystone was it had easy parking in comparison to the ones in “town “ and this hotel is one couple miles from the town center. A smaller souvenir shops and restaurants strip mall was right next door to the hotel. It’s very convenient for staying one or two nights. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Bag breakfast was nothing exciting but available till 11:30. Good for sleeping in clients like us. We picked up the breakfast bag and use it as snacks for that day’s outing so saved money on expensive snacks at the sightseeing hot spots. Like the bathtub and plenty of hot water to soak away the aches of hiking.

Great staff went the extra mile for us and then our friends when it got to cold and the staff saved them a room til they checked in later that day And the grab and go bags ended up being very full and packed of a variety of stuff
