We love the welcome gifts, reusable water bottles, water station throughout the resort. The resort is close enough to town and attractions but still sits secluded in its own place. The bad parts: A large area including a restaurant was blocked off due to structure damage. Half of the staff was friendly but some didn’t care to say hello. The rooms are very thin-walled. We could hear someone clearing their throat next door. Last day, my bug bites showed up. Overall it wasn’t a 4-star experience we had hoped.l and paid for.

Hello- My family loved our stay at the Outrigger. My only complaint would be that the elevator by the car lot closed on you sometimes before you were out. We had a wheelchair and we had to stop the door from closing on us. Other than that everything was wonderful and your staff was lovely and the cats were my favorite. Thank you.

We loved watching the waves crash on shore. Great views from the resort. Also, the property is close to an amazing golf course and because we stayed at the resort we received a discount on the golfing fees.

About 20 minutes from “downtown” Kona, we liked the location. The grounds were beautiful. Rooms were nothing special, they were very standard. The walls are PAPER THIN. We could hear our neighbors yawn, use the restroom, and every conversation they had, clear as day. Front desk staff was wonderful. Unfortunately we did have to wait until 4 before our room was available, but you’re allowed to use the pool and towels while you wait. Right next door are all of the manta ray tours! And farmers market is right next to the property!

A beachfront hotel with a stunning location, but clearly focused on maximizing profit over customer satisfaction. The $30 breakfast buffet offers limited value, with no kitchen or microwave available for guests. We experienced an electrical outage in our room when adjusting the AC, and there was a long wait at the front desk due to understaffing.

The property is pleasing and is in a beautiful location, but it is isolated from the remainder of the Kona coast and so needs to be more self- sufficient. There is only one restaurant with a limited menu, unless you count the pool bar menu. We had to wait a few times to be seated at the restaurant because there were not enough servers. There was no pool food/drink service. When we arrived at 5 our room was not ready, so our front desk ckerk made a big deal of finding us something nice and keeping our two rooms together. We ended up in a room with a clearly disability-accomodating super high toilet (my feet would not touch the ground), but no other adaptive elements, while our adjoining room had a nasty plastic shower curtain. Rooms had paper cups for water. In staying for almost a week, we only had our room tidied once, despite being gone most days. That one cleaning came at 4 pm and we had to leave our room to allow it. Other days we had to chase down maid service to get clean towels ir new paper cups. It was annoying. I could not tell if the problem was a lack if employees or an overall lack of effort. The luau was disappointing. There were only 3 craft vendors, so not enough to spend much time, and the art projects were hokey. The food was okay, but I had expected more to be made of it (a pit pig perhaps) and maybe some explanation of it. The musicians and dancers were very talented. The $160 price is high, probably because of the open bar. I didn't drink.

My goto when in kona!

My favorite place to stay in kona, great food at the restaurant, nice view depending on if you get ocean view. Quiet place to stay. They have an adult pool and another pool with a water slide, ridiculously fun! 2 hot tubs and a kiddie/ shallow "beach" sand pool

The resort had all the amenities we needed and was easily accessible from the airport we did a multitude of day trips and found this location perfect! Can’t wait to come back!

We travel a lot, and this resort exceeded my expectations in every way. There are some great activities, with yoga or aqua yoga available every day. The staff was so friendly, and Sally at the front desk was exceptionally helpful and accommodating. It's rare to see customer service of this caliber these days.
