Disappointed. The lamps in the room did not work properly and the whole place feels seriously outdated. I understand that it is supposed to be vintage themed, but it honestly felt like walking into my old grandfather’s house where the premium feel they claim to offer is just not there. For the price and the reputation, this is unacceptable. Yes, the staff are polite, but that is about the only positive. The mens toilet in the basement, right next to the spa and sauna area, absolutely stinks. It is disgusting and definitely not what you would expect from a hotel of this level, especially one that has a Turkish hamam and sauna right beside it.

Staff were lovely and breakfast was good, including the great view from the restaurant. The room (104) was at the back of the hotel, and very noisy from all aircon units of surrounding buildings. The bathroom was tired looking and in need of some TLC (patched up bath, damaged mirror frame, etc). But the bed was clean and comfortable (with the exception of 1 lumpy pillow).

Staff: Helpful, polite and courteous as could be. Willing to accommodate requests Hotel: Clean comfortable and welcoming. Breakfast on the 6th floor is breathtaking and worth getting out of bed! Perfect view of Hagia Sophia & Bkue Mosque and panoramic views of the Bosphorus. Location: Istanbul is hilly The hotel is not only situated in one of the premier areas it’s also industrial ground. Most of the top ten attractions are a 5 minute walk away or take the tram. There are plenty to of other memorable historic places within yards! . For the first time visitor there could not be a better place to stay

We had a very positive experience and would stay again! The room was a fun mix of new and old with some beautiful details. The location was excellent and we were able to return to our room for a break between seeing the major sites. We arrived mid morning (well before our check in time) and after inviting us to the roof to enjoy the complementary buffet while we waited, they were able to get us into an upgraded room within 30 minutes. The desk staff was very welcoming and helpful, and readily arranged for a taxi to the airport for us (at a very fair price) even looking up our flight to ensure the timing.

Hotel breakfast was very good as it was 2 years ago - the location is perfect - the very scary driver style to airport by hotel arrangement : driver was late , and the whole hour to airport he was clicking every SECOND! To phones and taking phone calls.

Our stay at Sultanhan hotel was excellent, even better than expected. First of all the location even closer to all attractions than posted on a website, we are not so young travelers and it took us just a few minutes to reach them. Very comfortable rooms, friendly staff, nice breakfast, lots of restaurants near by. Highly recommend this hotel
