The positives- the hotel is in an ideal location with fantastic views from the rooftop restaurant which also serves a great breakfast. It is well decorated and very clean and all the staff are warm and super friendly. The negatives - the air conditioning does not work apparently in most room I asked other guests who had similar issues. They advertise city views however my room looked out to the walls of the next building. The rooms are not soundproofed I was kept awake by the heat and the noises from the room next door as their kid had a game that seemed to be playing all night long. I did not get one good nights sleep throughout my stay. However the sunrise over the Blue mosque was a spectacular sight to start the day.

This hotel is amazing in every way! Friendly, courteous and professional conduct held by ALL staff. Extraordinary breakfast with a view. Excellent place to stay in Istanbul. Nice facilities, friendly staff, delicious breakfast and walking distance to major attractions. I would highly recommend it to visitors who come to see the major attractions in the city. Just a quick tip. If using Google Maps to locate this hotel, double check the address it gives. I entered its official name “Sultanhan Hotel - Special Class”, Google Map sent me to a completely different place. This is still the case as of January 2026

I had a lovely stay overall. The staff were warm and incredibly helpful, the breakfast was truly outstanding, and the location couldn’t be better — everything was right at my doorstep. The only downside was the bathtub, which had some visible mold and could use better upkeep. Aside from that, the experience was excellent and I’d consider staying again.

The room was spotless and filled with necessities-shoe polish, coffee and tea and even a minibar. The cleaning lady was available throughout the day and very obliging. I cannot say enough about the reception. They made sure I was comfortable and they arranged for tours and answered questions.
