A rip-off!

Unfortunately, this hotel was a rip-off! I only realised this when I arrived into our room which was down in the basement level, therefore we had no windows and there was a strong mildew smell. We checked in very late at night with our young kids and were so exhausted from traveling so we could not be bothered to ask to switch. But knowing I paid nearly 200EU for THAT room was very upsetting. The location is great, and the hotels all around us were beautiful and half the price. Some positives tho, the lovely breakfast food (although also served in a window-less room) and the staff! All the guys at the front desk were very very lovely and extremely helpful.

Amira hotel is very close to main attraction sites. Around six minutes of walking distance with tram station around two more minutes away. One thing to remember, walking will be in a hilly area. BN1 bus service and few restaurants are very close by. Hotel serves really good breakfast and a rooftop restaurant. Building is old but decorated well. May need another refresh soon. Staffs were very friendly and attentive. I would recommend to anyone who is visiting Istanbul.

Awesome Boutique Hotel

Hotel Amira was a lovely boutique hotel. We stayed in the family room which was very nice! The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel is away from the crazy downtown area but walking distance from many important sites. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel!

We stayed at this cozy hotel in Istanbul and had a great overall experience. The staff were incredibly helpful—they assisted with our airport transfers both to and from the hotel, which made everything much easier. The breakfast was amazing, with a great variety and delicious flavors. The only downside was during our second stay—the bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned, and the shower still had hair from the previous guest. That was disappointing, but aside from that, everything else was lovely. I would still consider staying here again thanks to the service and location

Top Hotel, staff and location

The location and the availability of restaurants in the area plus their own buffet breakfast all represented great value.Upon arrival’Serkan’sat down with us and on a map drew the location of the sights and the easiest way (walking) to get to them. All the staff were extremely helpful and went far and above to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The room was large, bright, clean and comfortable with a terrific balcony. We will definitely stay there on our next visit. When leaving for the airport (set fare) they advised that we pay the driver under their supervision, before leaving the hotel to ensure we were not ripped off, which apparently does happen.

I don’t think I’ve ever been greeted by such a warm friendly staff who made us feel so welcomed. We had an early flight the next morning and they made us sandwiches to go. I thought that was extremely thoughtful and kind gesture on their part.

Lovely property, the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. They were not after tips either. They went out of there to make our stay as comfortable and easy as possible. Really worth staying here
