Great location, good restaurant attached, smooth airport pickup, but multiple ongoing issues with temperature control in the room over several days. When we checked in, the room was hot (24C=75°F). It was very cold out, so opened the window and turned on the AC to cool it down. Closed the window and went to sleep, then woke up at 3am sweating, it was 24°C again. Opened the window again,… Front desk said they would fix it the next morning. Came back that night, room was 24°C again. Made a fuss. They did something. Came back from dinner, room was cool. Middle of the night, it went to 24°C again… I’m not sure what was going on with the thermal system, but sometimes it did not run no matter what temp was set, or how hot the room was. Other times it did. They clearly had some system to override the room thermostat at times - for whatever reason. I’m an engineer and it made me want to pull the wiring out of the wall and rewire it all so the thermostat actually made the system operate according to the thermostat. Infuriating.

Amazing location and staff. The staff were attentive, responsive and friendly and were one of the best from my experience in Turkey. The location is very convenient and few minutes walk to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and tens mins to spice bazaar and has nice restaurants nearby. The rooms are small as to be expected at this location but very clean and modern inside. The only negative is that the breakfasts weren't the greatest and can be improved

Staff was very friendly but the rooms were very small. I booked a triple room but the 3rd bed was more for an infant than a adult which made the stay very difficult. There was cigarette smell coming through the vents - the solution by the staff was to close the vent.

Mixed feelings — great service but terrible standard rooms The hotel has many strong points — friendly and helpful staff, a fantastic breakfast, and a truly excellent location. However, I’m giving it 3 stars because the standard rooms are just not up to the mark. All rooms are very small — even for a solo traveler, the space feels cramped. But the standard room I was initially given was especially bad: it faced a blank wall covered in air conditioning units and smelled strongly of kitchen fumes. The room was dark, gloomy, and unpleasant. I couldn’t sleep at all due to the smell and constant noise. The next day, I asked for an upgrade. The new room had a much better view and was brighter, but still extremely small and clearly in need of renovation. The furniture and finishes felt old and worn. Also, the pillows were very low quality and uncomfortable. If you care about comfort and modern amenities, I would not recommend booking the standard room — or perhaps this hotel at all. It has potential, but only if you prioritize location over space and room quality.
