    Overpriced for what it is

    We chose this hotel as needed somewhere to go to after 15 hrs flying. We had booked a 'deluxe'? room which would have been huge, except it had this strange two room thing going on with an xtra unmade bed in the other room. The rooms were dark and this 2 room thing made it darker. The beds were ok, air con worked ok, staff were ok, bfast ok, but for what we paid am sure there is better around.

    Old and tired nees a refit

    Great friendly and helpful staff cant hide the fact that this hotel is old and very tired and in need of a serous refit. Breakfast was cold and horrible. Suggest you take your money elsewhere as there are many better hotels in this price range in HCM

    Very good budget hotel

    Stayed at Chancery Saigon Hotel August 09.Very pleased with the hotel considering how much we paid. Room was spacious with seperate living area with stocked mini bar. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was really good and the free wifi was very fast. Was very surprised both were included in room rate. If you are looking for good, cheap accommodation in Ho Chi Minh you can't really go wrong. Did see some ants around the hotel but didn't bother us too much.

    Baustelle nebenan

    Das Hotel wäre ok für den Preis, es ist einigermassen sauber, das Frühstücksbuffet ist eher mässig und schliesst um 9 Uhr morgens. Aber direkt links neben dem Hotel wurde die ganze Woche um Weihnachten 2011 das Nachbarhaus abgerissen und das rund um die Uhr. Also z.B. am 26.1. wurde mit einem Bagger mit Presslufthammeraufsatz das 2. Stockwerk bis 4 Uhr morgens zertrümmert, dass das gesamte Haus bebte. Ich selbst, meine finnischen Mitreisenden und eine ganze Schar anderer Europäer tummelten sich um den völlig hilf- und ahnungslosen Rezeptionist und verlangte Umbuchungen, da die Erschütterungen und der ohrenbetäubende Lärm im gesamten Haus unerträglich waren. Gemacht hat dieser garnichts bis auf ein dummes Gesicht. Ich habe mich bei Hotels.com beschwert und die waren so kulant, wenigstens gleich ein Drittel der bezahlten Kosten zu erstatten, ohne auf Beweisfilmchen etc. zu warten. Das war auf jeden Fall nett. Allerdings schickte Hotels.com mir auch die Antwort des Hotelmanagements auf meine Beschwerde. Unglaublich, dieses Lügenpack, erstens wurde behauptet, ihnen sei keinerlei Beschwerde meinerseits bekannt und es sei lediglich in der Nähe eine Baustelle, die manchmal bis 16 Uhr in Betrieb sei. Da laut den Bauarbeitern an der Stelle des abgerissenen Hauses gleich ein neues gebaut werden wird, wird sicher das ganze Frühjahr 2012 mit enormem Baulärm zu rechnen sein. Tun Sie sich das auf keinen Fall an, es gibt genügend gleichwertige Hotels in der Stadt. Ich werde am 3.1. noch einmal in Saigon sein und das Hotelmanagement mit ihrer Lügerei konfrontieren. Falls Sie doch dort enden, lassen Sie sich darüberhinaus von der Rezeption nicht das Restaurant Indochine in der Nähe fürs Abendessen empfehlen. Dieses sieht zwar nett aus mit Garten etc. aber das Essen dort ist unterirdisch und völlig überteuert.

    Hotell Chancery Saigon - prisvärt centralt

    Stort välutrustat rum, bra sängar, bra frukost, beläget vid stor genomfartsgata kan innebära vissa störningar detta uppvägs dock av det centrala läget. Vi återkommer gärna
