Switched rooms once. First room was very dusty, AC was on but barely working, no hand towels, shower towels old and scratchy. All the furniture was dated. Also was located way the back of hotel, with a lot of stairs. My elderly mother did not feel comfortable with the stairs and that room. We switched but it was not that much better. Second room same towel situation , dusty , AC filter was very dirty, AC did not cool , room was very hot at night, I had to mess with the toilet for it to flush correctly. Brown smelly water from shower and faucet. Bed sheets stained. Found a roach the next day after room was serviced, at least it was dead. Never used pool as it was green. Theyl only thing fairly decent was their breakfast buffet, city views, and grounds. Eventually staff gave us a fan. Dont come here

Me and my wife booked a stay for 12 days. When we got here they had the pool closed for 6 days for pool maintenance and when they finally did open the pool, it was very murky green. We had a few groups of guests tell us that they were leaving to find another hotel. Because that's one of the big points here at this hotel is supposed to be a pool and a scenery. The pool was terrible almost like swamp water they wasted six days of our stay hoping that It would get cleaned and the pool bar is only open on saturday and sunday from 8am to7pm. Then last night me and my wife found a scorpion in our bathroom. Come to find out.It was very poisonous so we reported it to the front desk with photo proof and they Gave us a bottle of nontoxic raid spray for roaches and ants that wasn't made for scorpions so we had a Fumigate our own room. They told us to come back in the morning to talk to the manager (Dulce) for some sort of compensation since we weren't very happy. When we did finally wake up the next moring to talk to Dulce, She didn't even want to come out of the office to talk to us directly. She told one of the receptionists that there's nothing that she can do or would do to compensate us. Me and my wife will no longer be staying at this hotel. So be warned it's not what they claim it to be. We spent too much money for them to treat us like that. The view is amazing and the restaurant and restaurant staff was on point and that's all this hotel has going for it.

This hotel is completely is a bit run down. The air conditioners in the entire hotel do not work and there is nothing the staff can do about it. The pool was not working either the weekend of our stay. Overall a bad experience. The staff is great though and they try to help as much as possible.

We left because the air conditioning was not working, The room had a bad smell with dirty old furniture. The city view was beautiful and the lobby was absolutely beautiful. The rooms were horrible! They need to get rid of that dirty nasty carpet!

Beware! Bad Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi only works in the buffet area near the lobby. Most of the rooms are far from the commons area; therefore, most guest struggle with proper Wi-Fi. This is my second time staying at this hotel and the pool is always green and dirty. Second thing to beware about. Temperatures are high in GDL. El Tapatio has a very outdated A/C. A/C is controlled and turned on with a knob, no temp control. A/C doesn't work well which in turn cools the room poorly. Breakfast Buffet not worth it. Staff was great throughout.

Me dieron una habitación que no era , la cual no tenía aire acondicionado , wifi etc , al día 3 me moleste por la falta de ética de resección y pedí hablar con el supervisor y ahí fue donde me dieron la habilitación que yo pagué , las personas de mantenimiento son súper profesionales y las del restaurante igual pero lo que es recepción es una porquería , habían escorpiones y cucarachas en nuestra habitación, nada de lo que ven en las fotos es real , no se quien sea el mentiroso si expedía o ellos , plus hubo un trabajador que me dijo aunque des quejas ellos no aran nada por qué nosotros somos los que mandamos y decimos que hacer al momento de México no ser mi país desidi no buscar problemas. Pero honestamente no le recomiendo este hostel a ningún extranjero el trato es pésimo de recepción y las habitaciones no son lo que vemos en foto…

I did not like that the bedrooms are outdated. The distance from the main entrance to your room can long, and are not told you can drive closer to your room until you are inside the hotel.the wifi was down and no refunds for serivces paid. I would not stay here ever again.
