I wrote a beautiful message as to why I had to cancel. Here’s the message below, and I did not get a refund nor did I get a response at all to what I wrote. It was as if no one ever read it:
Unfortunately, due to a sudden and serious family medical emergency, I am no longer able to travel as planned. This situation was completely unexpected, and it requires my immediate presence and full attention at home. This is a deeply personal and difficult circumstance for my family, and not something I would ever ask consideration for unless it were truly necessary. If you would be so kind, I am respectfully asking whether you might please allow an exception to your cancellation policy and grant a refund. I completely understand your policies and the importance of them, and I would not ask this unless I were in genuine need. I have heard such wonderful things about your hospitality and compassion, which is why I feel comfortable reaching out with this request. Your kindness in this matter would mean more to me than I can properly express during such a challenging time. Thank you sincerely for taking the time to read my message and for any consideration you may be willing to extend. Regardless of the outcome, I truly appreciate your understanding and wish you continued success.
