They were wonderful, and I felt bad because we ended up with some extra people for lunch on Thanksgiving. But things calmed down, and we had a wonderful evening out by the fire. The house was historic, and roomy. The kitchen and pantry were wonderful, it had an indoor woodstove (but we didn't need it). The outdoor area was huge, and the kids got to play frisbee and play with the owner's wonderful dog.

It was a quaint cabin in the countryside and I enjoyed listening to the crickets and hanging out with Finley, the friendly pup on the porch! We really enjoyed seeing the flocks of wild turkeys wandering around!

Wonderful pastoral setting outside of gold hill oregon. House was charming and all amenities provided. Museum in town was very good and plenty of other activities. An overall a great getaway. Curt is an affable host who will make sure things are tight.

Family reunion

It was a nice place to stay. The beds were nice and clean and we loved the record player. The cherry on top was Finley. We all love golden retrievers. We were just there to have a place to sleep, we spent most of our time over at our family‘s house. We would definitely stay there again.

We needed separate bedrooms, a stop that would get us through the snowy passes at the optimal times, a midway point on a long interstate road trip, calm and quiet, safe and away from noisy freeway or sketchy neighborhood s. I must have looked at 150 other options until this spot popped up.This little cabin in the woods, as the kids called it, was everything we needed. Great location,, lots of space and personality. Curt was very responsive and had a fire going in the wood stove when we came in! We liked it so much, and it suited our particular needs so perfectly, that we booked it a week later for our return trip. I highly recommend this spot. We enjoyed it very much, loved the local pizza and market in Gold Hill, and it made our wintry drive so much safer and restful. Thank you!
