The hotel was in a good location, but the property itself was very dated. The room was hot and ventilation poor, elevator service was bad ( although they were working on an upgrade at the time). The best part of the stay was the morning breakfast and the staff was very friendly.

Great stay here - excellent to be able to use the executive lounge (although its pretty small for the number of people that have access!) & every staff member we talked to was very helpful & lovely. Lifts were a bit slow (one being renovated, so not surprising!) and some of the stairwells that we used due to this looked like they could do with a bit of refreshing, but that was the only minor negative.

The staff made our trip!

First of all the staff at Crowne Plaza made are trip the best one ever experienced by us. The food is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ top notch, also the pool was small but great 😊 and we didn’t use it but the gym looks friendly and professional. Over all I absolutely recommend.

Great location on the riverside

Nice friendly welcome on arrival. Room was comfortable. Food at breakfast and in the lounge area for evening meals is good. Always queues for the lifts luckily a member of the team showed me where to get the back of house lifts during the current renovation works. Downside always have to pay £12 per night for parking. Location is good, the views are good.

Glasgow Crowne Plaza,

Bad smell of sewage in the bar and reception area, reported to duty manager who was aware , however spoilt our stay, Aircon in room not working on cold and with no opening windows room gets too hot, , not the best stay and standards slipping here,

Superb staff…friendly, helpful and professional. Public areas spacious and well laid out. Covered walkway to car park so helpful. Views from room on top floor (city) and The Club on 15th (down river) fantastic. Breakfasts outstanding. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Convenient for OVO Hydro / Armadillo.

The room was fine and clean. The bar area was filthy there where a number of tables full of empty glasses rubbish and plates of half eaten food that nobody cleared away for over an hour. Service at the bar was slow only one person serving.

What we liked about the Crowne Plaza was that it was walking distance to the HYDRO where the Doobie Brothers were playing on my wifes birthday. The people were very nice except for the first night. Our paperwork showed we had paid for breakfast but theirs didn't. That was not our fault so it was either the Crowne Plaza's or Expedia's fault. We worked it out with the Hotel and still had one morning that there was a glitch and the last morning we left before breakfast was served. We paid for 4 mornings and only received 3. Our biggest mistake was signing up with Expedia. The Crown Plaza was great but not close to anything other than the River Clyde and the OVO Hydro.

Decent hotel but poor restaurant experience

Hi overall decent stay for 23rd wedding anniversary trip spoilt by what was supposed to be a special meal ....the service in the restaurant was very poor especially a hotel the size of CP. It started at maitre'd desk who said we didnt have a reservation....we made weeks before and also checked week before over the phone and also when we checked in. Then when shown to table it took staff over 35 minutes to take a drinks order. Food service was equally slow and restaurant wasnt particularly busy. Stsfc were not attentive and had to be chivvied along. Overall really spoilt a special evening. Luckily breakfast was self service and was as expected.
