Great location but needs an update

You can’t beat this location which is how they get away with not updating. It very much needs a refresh, and updating when it comes to accessibility. Staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming which is sad for a town that sees so many tourists. We enjoyed our stay because of what Gimli has to offer rather than this hotel being a star.

The staff is very good, but the room was pretty dated and the air conditioner was very noisy. The coffee in the rooms was absolutely horrible, stale and no taste. The bathrooms off the restaurant had no handicap door openers, and there was no door on the handicap stall.

The location is undeniably prime—A+. It’s situated in the heart of downtown Gimli, just steps away from the pier, beach, and a great selection of independent shops. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. It’s very clear that ownership has neglected this property. Despite being in such a desirable spot, the hotel is outdated and poorly maintained. The hallways, rooms, equipment, fixtures, amenities, and overall facilities are in desperate need of repair, updating, or replacement. We were drawn in by the incredible location and chose to overlook some of the poor reviews, but we regret that decision—especially considering the price, which is far too high for the current condition of the hotel. It's a shame to see a property with such potential being so poorly cared for.

It’s a great place to go for a weekend getaway and is close to all the little shops and restaurants around gimli beach. However it could use a little makeover, and perhaps microwaves in rooms. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but not sure if we would book again for the same price, it’s just a little too high for the dated quality of the rooms.

The older part of the hotel is really in need of a refresh. The rooms are a little dated and it would have been nice to have a microwave to heat up coffee and stuff. The single serve coffee makers are also dated and could be improved.

Restaurant and lounge were nice. Pools were nice however, there were some plastic chucks taken out of the side of the pool which made a little unsafe. Our room was good needs upgrading.This hotel needs some upgrades for sure.
