Hotel was nice but tired and could do with a coat of paint and bathroom revamp. But the location is good, staff friendly. It’s within the UNESCO heritage area but not on the hustle and bustle streets so was quiet compared to other locations. We walked everywhere but buses were close by. Great eateries just around the corner.

Location: Close to most things and places of interest

Always a nice memory

Pros: We and a very lovely room facing the park and for the 11 days we were there the extra space was very much appreciated. The breakfast also was great
Cons: The bar at ground floor lever is could be bit livelier
Location: Georgetown is an historic protected area and what a lovely place to get the feel of local life.
We have stayed in the Bayview Georgetown a few times and each time we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. What to us is enjoyable is that it is in the lovely old Georgetown and to walk through the small streets and see local life is great.

Perfect location,

Perfect location to all entertainment and sights. No hot water at 10am. Inhouse food expensive. Breakfast good, hotel would not extend our stay at wotif rates when requested, had to re book online and shift room, so we left. Attentive lobby staff. Value for money.

Good value, well located hotel

We stayed 5 nights in Georgetown and found our hotel room clean and comfortable. The hotel breakfast choice was expansive, fresh and tasty. We enjoy walking and found most of the tourist sights accessible from the hotel on foot. The CAT bus stops, in either direction, are close by and "grab" car fares to and from anywhere are an economical way to get around. Local bus 101 from a nearby bus stop gets you too and from Batu Ferrengi. Georgetown has a long cultural heritage and an abundance of good eating options nearby to the Bayview Hotel.

Great Hotel located in George Town

Pros: Location. Access to George Town attractions. Large hotel rooms and very friendly helpful staff
Cons: The bed was as hard as concrete. The room staff did put an extra doona under the sheet which helped a bit. Really needs a latex or memory foam topper
Location: Location is in George Town. Plenty of food courts and restaurants located near by. Easy access to transport
Spent six nights at the Bayview. It's well located to the free bus shuttle stop in Jalan Panang ( about 3 mins walk). Also within walking distance of most attractions such as Chew Jetty, Komta Shopping Centre and Times square shopping Centre. The Komtar has had an extra 3 floors added which include excellent outdoor viewing area on level 68. Heaps of food experiences to be had but highly recommend Red Garden just by the Bayview and CF Food court by Chew Jetty. Chew Jetty is the tourist venue but there are at least two other jetty's n ext to it which have a more authentic feel about them.
