Bay City Motel was very conveniently located, close to the shops and the waterfront. The staff and service was also excellent.

The room was very clean on arrival and the service on day 2 was excellent and somewhat unexpected, being a public holiday so we hadn't made any effort to tidy the room of our personal belongings. It is an easy walk to the Westfield shopping centre on Malop street and even closer to the Sir Charles Darling Hotel which serves a very good meal in the bistro. The mattress was extremely firm, if you have trouble sleeping on a firm mattress it might be worth contacting the motel to see if they have rooms with softer mattresses. The security chain on the door was also broken (half missing), needs to be fixed.

Position, convenience, affordable.

We chose Bay City for its convenience, it's off main road position - which made it quiet, and its price. All of those things were there. The unit was clean and comfortable. My only criticism would be how hard the bed is, made more so by the electric blanket which we never use anyway. I know you can't please everyone all the time.

Our room was clean with good facilities. The motel manager was welcoming and helpful. It's situated within easy walking distance to the waterfront, shops and other facilities. We had a great weekend.
