Quaint converted motel

Quaint little converted motel. All rooms have a balcony overlooking the river through Gatlinburg. It’s across the road from Hillbilly golf. Prices in the restaurant are extremely high. My husband fished from the balcony and snagged a few trout.

We really enjoyed this place. It’s very unique and very boutique style. The view we had was spectacular. I do wish they had true room cleaning instead of just tidying up. Even turn down service would’ve been great. Other than that, we loved it and would return!

We had a balcony directly over a river with a view of river and mountain forest. So we felt we were remote and away from the world. However, when you exited the room you were on a Main Street with a free trolley ride to down town. Or you could walk the mile to get to the center of town and the aquarium. The room was very sound proof. So , I had the “feel” of being away from it all in a remote location but when I wanted “city life and people” I had that feel too. Best of both worlds. Finally, the onsite restaurant is excellent. At least 4 stars in my opinion and the best in the region. Chef Carlos really cooks and presents his dishes very well. The wine selection is great. I highly recommend both the rooms and the restaurant.

Our stay was excellent. The inn is very close to ‘downtown’ Gatlinburg but far enough away to be relatively quiet. Our room’s balcony directly overlooked the West Prong Little Pigeon River. Staff was great—attentive and prompt. The bed was comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. Great for a couple looking to get away.

Just stayed the night, in late afternoon, left early in the morning. Awesome place, our room was in the second floor and I looked the river. We walked to dinner at Chesapeake, then walked up to Starbucks in the morning for coffee. Most ships were not open but, we were on a schedule and had to run. Would definitely stay again

Older property on the river. Quaint and rustic so if you like that in a hotel, this is your place! It’s a nice place and good location but…If you or your spouse has issue with bugs/spiders, or if you need internet/tv to work 100% of the time, look for something newer or with rooms accessible from inside the hotel building (no spiders on your room door!). A few other peculiarities but overall a good place to stay in Gatlinburg.
