Be careful which rooms they give you

Be careful booking this place, the pictures show the new building and not the old one up the street. I booked the rooms in the pictures but it not what i got. The have 2 properties and the office is at the old one and they gave us rooms there instead of the better one. The pool and hot tub are at the other location, so of we wanted to use them we had to go 3 min down the road to use them. It was ok rooms, but not what i booked through the pictures on hotels.com at all.

It was definitely not what the pictures showed when I booked online. What I thought I booked and paid for was up the road in their newer resort. They put us in the older one that only one building allowed for guest where the one beside it was condemned. No pool at the one we were at. They said we could use the other one but who wants to walk and carry all your stuff that far when you thought you were getting that at the place you stayed. I did have a view of the condemned building and pool at ours though. The room was not that clean even the water pressure was horrible. I would have loved to been able to stay at the place I booked then maybe I would recommend it to others. But for now I would definitely say stay away cause you definitely do not get what the pictures show or what you pay for.

This property was great in being so close to the Gatlinburg downtown area. It also was far enough away to not be disturbed by the noise of after hours on weekend nights. The room was very nice with gas fireplace, and balcony, and s kitchenette. The decor was very fitting. The pool was not open, as most likely expected in April as it is an outdoor pool. The elevator was not functioning at that time, but only to second floor to reach the room, so worked out.

Lots of updates need to be done. Bathroom jet tub was filthy. Property had a lot of things that needed to be fixed or updated. We witnessed a family trapped in the elevator which did not make us want to use the elevators at all during our trip

The kitchenette was pretty impressive even though we didn’t use it. Plenty of natural light and seating in living/dining room. The floor was pretty dirty and I took a while to sweep it myself. Also, the shower curtain was too short so the floor got soaked when we used it. Other than those two minor issues, we had a great stay!

Pros: Very quiet and clean room. We had great quality sleep there. There are indoor and outdoor pools. Laundry facilities are also available. Helpful staff when we have requests. Cons: check-in process was not smooth. The check-in location isn’t the same as the GPS location. We went to the wrong place and saw a lot of other guests did the same. In addition to providing the check-in location address, it would be better if the instructions added a reminder that the check-in location is different than GPS location. Otherwise many of us would assume they were the same. Also, it would be more convenient if there were more obvious signs of garage entrance. We saw lots of cars driving into the oversized parking lot which needs a permit.

It is not nearly as pretty as the pictures make it look. Our room had problems, the a/c leaked during the day. The heating didn’t work well in the evening.
