Host was quick to respond. Only issues were no kitchen towels, porch “spongy”. And if you’re tall- this is the house for you! I had difficulty reaching microwave, cabinets and clothes hangers but there is a step stool for use.

Convenience & Comfort

Nice sleeping accommodations. Both beds were comfortable well stocked kitchen that allowed for cooking and serving meals. Just a few blocks to the beach… Nice walk. I really appreciated the host providing detergent and a washer and dryer so that I could keep washing towels through the week since they only provided six and I had five people staying there. That would be my only suggestion for the host: stock a few more towels and maybe stock six beach towels that you would allow to go down to the beach and they are just as easy to wash as the others and if they were missing, you could charge your guests if they didn’t bring them back. There was a small glitch with the Wi-Fi and the TV while I was there and the hosts responded to a phone call and resolved the situation quickly. I will be keeping this listing for future trips to Galveston. Thank you, Ike!

Weekend stay

The house was exactly like it was described. It was just right for what we needed. The mattress on the master bedroom bed wasn’t the best, it is a bit hard. And the matress on the bed in the 2nd bedroom was super soft , so much so that when you laid down you could sink down too much. However, no bed is ever going to be like your own. the only true downfall was the front porch, the boards felt like they might give ? Not sure if it was just from over time. This too was just slight imperfection and didn’t effect our stay. We will be staying again soon I’m sure.

The Rainbow After The Storm

We had a unique situation with our trip being scheduled at the same time hurricane Beryl. Our host, Ike, was super easy to work and helped us adjust our staying time due to power outages and after effects from the storm. We’ve stayed at the house before and it was just as great this time as it was the first time!

Cute place convenient location

Cute little house, recently remodeled to be nice and clean. Will warn that the wood floor and deck are old pier & beam so even though they were sound, expect some give when walking. Was centrally located near the areas we wanted to be. Plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 teen boys. 1 boy took the extra room and the other was happy with the couch. Nice for a long weekend getaway.
