Karankawa Hideaway is a beautiful Canal House located on the Main Canal in Jamaica Beach featuring expansive views of the canal. Enjoy Beautiful Sunsets with Plenty of Comfortable seating upstairs and downstairs as well as lounge chairs on the upper deck to sunbath. Enjoy the Hot tub for a nice soak after a busy day of fun. After a day at the beach, come back to the house and enjoy the benefits of being right on the water. This house is family friendly, bring your fishing gear and fish right off the dock or bait the crab traps and catch some dinner! Gas Grill is Included. Central Air Conditioning upstairs and a mini split Air Conditioner/Heater downstairs. Three bedrooms upstairs provide plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. Free Wi-Fi and a full size washer and dryer provide added convenience during your stay. This house has it all!

We have completely redecorated this beautiful house. The kitchen comes fully equipped with stainless steel appliances. Enjoy your morning coffee using the Keurig or full size coffee maker.

We are located in the Jamaica Beach community which features a nice public park and a public swimming pool that is family friendly and also has a lap lane. (please visit the city website for cost to access the pool as well as pool hours)

Several Restaurants are close by including Nate's West End Restaurant, Waterman's Restaurant "Galveston's Hidden Treasure" located on a marina with water views and Mario's Pizza. A short drive into Galveston will provide you with a wide variety of well known restaurants and well as more local favorites.

Just a few of the many Galveston Attractions include Schlitterbahn Water Park, Moody Gardens, Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier and the Galveston Strand.

Parking: Driveway parking will accommodate 4 vehicles. No parking allowed on the street or the grass.

Damage Protection: The total cost of your reservation for this property includes a refundable damage deposit. If you prefer to purchase a non-refundable damage protection plan for $59.00 please send an inquiry with this request and we will be more that happy to send you a quote with the damage protection plan instead of the refundable damage deposit.

We look forward to hosting you and your group but we have a few house rules and they MUST be followed. Please review BEFORE you make your reservation.
- Large gatherings/parties, Prom groups and open invitation gatherings are not allowed at any time. This is not a party house.
- The maximum number of guests is 9.
- Guest must be at least 25 years of age to reserve the home and adult guests may not rent on behalf of underage guests. Person making the reservation must be present during the reservation.
- Underage drinking, loud music or other disturbances to the neighbors is not permitted.
- We do have a Ring camera on the front of house facing the street for security purposes.
- Pets are not permitted.
- Parking for 4 cars, parking on the grass and/or street is prohibited.

Great Mother’s Day weekend getaway! The place was exactly as described-clean, peaceful, and very well stocked with everything we needed. Communication with Judy was easy, and she was such a sweet host. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing family getaway, and we would absolutely love to return!

Everything was great. Communication was wonderful and accommodations were lovely. Hot tub was good. We made everyone wash if they got in the water at all before they got in. It looked a little murky when we got there, but the boys didn't care. Thank you so much. This was a prom weekend our boys won't ever forget.

My family and I had an incredible time at this beautiful vacation rental! It honestly felt like home away from home. The house is fully stocked with basic household necessities, the beds were nice and cozy, and the amenities were top tier! We were wow’d from the time we arrived onto the property! The views are amazing! The jacuzzi was steaming hot and very relaxing!! The outdoor shower was a big hit as well! The hot water is actually on the left hand side but it was so amazing to experience! The laundry room has extra space accommodating up to 4 more people with the bunk beds. The puzzles and toys kept the little ones busy as we fished in the dock. The kayaks were an awesome addition as well! Our family was blown away at the entire experience ! From catching 28 fish including catfish, catching a stingray was the coolest! We also caught a few crabs & saw pools of fish under the fishing lights swimming in the water. Definitely recommend this property for a family getaway. The upstairs deck did not disappoint! A great place to enjoy your morning coffee while enjoying the viewWill absolutely book again! Thank you for an incredible stay at your lovely home.

We had an absolutely wonderful two-week stay at this canal home and couldn’t have asked for a better Galveston getaway. The house was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up for a relaxing long stay. The outdoor space was a standout—soaking in the hot tub, watching the fish gather under the fish light at night, and enjoying the peaceful canal views made every evening feel special.The kayaks and paddleboard were a huge bonus and made it easy to enjoy the water right from the property. The location was ideal: quiet and relaxing, yet just minutes from the beach and everything we wanted to do. It truly felt like a home away from home.The host was welcoming, responsive, and clearly takes pride in the property. Everything was well maintained and exactly as described. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a relaxing, well-equipped, and memorable Galveston stay.

This is a awesome home amd the location is just perfect. My family and I have really enjoyed this home. The fishing and kyaking and Hot tub were on point. So if your thinking about it do it because you wont be disappointed. The home owners are so excited to share this home with you. Perfect Place

We stayed with our teenager and 9 year old. The place is perfect. The home is so much nicer than the photos even show. Location cant be beat. When its not quite summer, you have the hot tub to jump in and enjoy in between fishing. We will stay here again.

I loved that it was really clean and seemed almost new. The washing machine and refregierator was a newer model compared to all the other places i have been to. Overall, the house was big, clean, and in good shape.

Perfect house on the main canal.

We had a fantastic weekend largely thanks to the amazing house. It is in a prime location for fishing right off the private dock. The house had everything you could need and was very clean and well furnished. I hope to return for another trip soon.

Family time made easy!

Our stay was wonderful, we absolutely loved this house and cannot wait to come back. The house is perfect for everything you need, the kitchen is well stocked along with so many things to do. The kids loved to fish all day and most of the night. When they were not fishing they were in the paddle boat or kayaks. We highly recommend renting this house for your next vacation!

Pretty Perfect Place

Everything about this place was as close to perfect as possible. Wonderful home with many amenities. Great dock and sitting area. Great for boats or kayaks, with easy access to the bay and Galveston Island State Park. Easy fishing right from the dock, though. Lots of sand perch, a sand trout, couple of nice black drums, and piggy perch. This will be our Go-To Galveston area place to stay. Loved it.

Amazing home!

My family and friends had a wonderful stay here! We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio, and the hot tub. We loved the access to the canal and watching the fish in the green light at night. Fantastic weekend

We had a great weekend at your house in Jamaica Beach. We noticed the great parking situation when we pulled up. Fantastic view of the water, plenty of space to gather and/or relax and watch the boats pass by. We had not stayed on the canal before and really enjoyed swimming and fishing off the dock. The house was very clean with comfortable furniture and mattresses. It was also close enough to go into Galveston for dinner and sightseeing. I would recommend this place as I will be rebooking in the future.
