The location of the hotel is perfect for restaurants and shopping. We always get a room with a bay view we always see dolphins and boat watch. The bed are so comfortable and the rooms are large. The breakfast is simple pancakes, cereal,fruit and bagels but included and we enjoy it with the free local paper. We stay here everytime we come to town and walk to happy hour and Willie G's next door for wonderful seafood.highly recommend this hotel.

The room was very clean and extremely spacious with a beautiful view of the harbor. What I did not like is when we showed up.We knew we were early, and we planned to walk around, but the gal at the front desk seemed oblivious to helping us. It took three trips back to the front desk for her to get me into the restroom, which required a key. Likewise, when it was time to leave, she just told us me in the street, waiting for our cruise bus. Since there was no one else waiting, it was very random.And we weren't even sure we were in the right part of the street. The person who worked in the evening, he was wonderful.He was very helpful and you could tell.He enjoyed his job. The breakfast room is a very sketchy situation, with four tables and a number of large families.The food was not good.So plan on going out to breakfast.

The hotel is perfectly located for the Port, UTMB or The Strand area of Galveston. The rooms were spacious and spotless. I really liked that the showers are glass rather than having a shower curtain. The staff is amazing! I dealt with Travis, Beatrice and Dee. Dee was a Godsend! She took care of me when my schedule changed. She had a very open line of communication. I had packages sent there that were taken care of and upon checkout I forgot a toiletry bag that they retrieved and held for me for a week until I was off of the ship. Dee even called me while we were at sea to check on things and let me know my belongs were secured. I HIGHLY recommend Harbor House!

Our room was excellent. Sweet Beatrice checked us in early so we could start our vacation going to Katy’s Seafood to eat lunch. Dee, was there to send us off to our cruise. We love Dee. We feel like she is our Galveston family. Harbor House Hotel is our home away from home. It is within walking distance of all 4 piers. Free breakfast. Comfortable bedding. 5 star in our opinion. The room was great! The size, the bed and the size of shower. I'm not sure what the other rooms are like but I will recommend room 311 to anyone that stays there. The desk clerk was not always available but we were able to make due on our own. Will definitely return!
