Room was clean and fresh, staff was great- most of the time someone would come out and greet us as we walked through. Real friendly. The entrance was not real easy to get to, a little tricky getting in/out of the parking lot.

I am from FW but wanted some space from family. I tried other hotels but this was the only one with a room for 2 nights. Pricey yes but def worth it. Only open a few months old, clean, nice/friendly staff. The walls seem a Little thin and there is no microwave or iron in the room and I like convenience but I was fine w/o it. Free coffee, free water. I didn’t get to utilize the spa but maybe next time. Location is good. Lots of places to shop and eat near

I had an exceptional experience while staying at The Amaya. World recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the greater Fort Wayne area. Friendly & accommodating staff made sure all of my needs were met, and I felt so welcomed by the elevated check-in ecperience. The hotel is fully renovated, with lovely modern features and tasteful decorations. The bed was a dream, with a real comforter and large comfy pillows. The room is equipped with modern and higher tech features, all of which contributed to my stay. I love that there is no carpeting throughout, giving an aura of cleanliness and everything truly was. 10/10 would recommend the Amaya to friends and family, and I will be a repeat customer in the future. Also note - ample parking in a secure lot is a relief when traveling alone too.

Unfortunately I will not be back. The driveway was hard to find and you have to drive through the parking lot for a gas station to get in, and the rest of the accessible entrances are walled off. Upon arrival, the front desk was empty, telling guests to call a number to get someone’s attention. They did have a nice welcome non alcoholic drink and a cool towel. But then the attendant was a bit too enthusiastic with my bag when I told them multiple times I was fine carrying it-then followed me into the room to show me around. I felt very uncomfortable with this. On top of that I found bugs (dead and alive) in my room, the floors made my socks dirty, the tiles were not installed correctly, the toilet paper holder nearly fell off the wall, and the bed felt old and needed replacement. The hotel feels like it’s undergone a recent renovation, but done at the lowest bidder without inspecting the quality of work. I will not return to this location.
