Awful Experience – Not Worth the Price I rarely leave reviews, but this stay was so disappointing I felt compelled to share. First, the TV remote wasn’t working, which was a small inconvenience at first, but things quickly got worse. There was no iron in the room, and when I called the front desk, they said an engineer would bring one up. He promised he’d be back shortly—he never returned. To make matters worse, my room key stopped working, and the door itself was also malfunctioning. I had to go back and forth with the staff just to get back into my room. For the price I paid, this level of service and lack of basic amenities is unacceptable. I definitely overpaid for this experience. It was frustrating and disappointing from start to finish. I would not recommend this hotel.

Upon checking in everything seemed fine. Nothing great, nothing terrible. Went to the elevator and that’s when you see the sign the pool is closed. Not when booking, not even at the front desk checking in. After you’ve paid! Fine, we will rearrange our plans and not have a pool day. Get up to our room and the lock bolt kept popping out. So you couldn’t shut the door from the outside. You had to wrap your arm around the door to turn the handle in order for it to go back in. Called maintenance, and he didn’t seem like it was a problem. Was basically told to just deal with it. Again, fine. Not the worst issue to have, just annoying and hope it actually opens when we try to get in. The next morning we go down for breakfast. Very minimal options. I at least got my coffee, we’ll go out for breakfast. The carpet in the room felt gross. Is it wet? Grimy? The last day came, icing on the cake. Bugs in the bathroom. Nope! Not fine. Spoke to the front desk and was told a refund would be given for the inconvenience. I emailed the manager, as I was told to, with picture proof. No response. 10 days later, still no response, no reverse transaction in my account.

Stayed before cruise. Shuttle drivers very friendly dropped us off at train as our cruise was from Miami. Front desk also nice. Basic ( free) continental breakfast in lobby. Coffee was available all day. Was a good area if you did not have a car as many restaurants and plaza with many stores within easy walking distance. It is a quiet secluded area with a vacant lot beside the hotel so I felt uncomfortable walking back to hotel alone after dark but there was no issues or people hanging around in the dark so ok if not walking alone. Pool closed for renovations. Nice gym at hotel
