The property is perfectly situated near the beach and many great restaurants. The quick ride down to South Beach is also a plus. However, unlike South Beach this city sleeps so you don't have to worry about hearing loud parties or party goers at night. Its a nice chill area where grown folk go to play!

This property has poor practice of overbooking their rooms. They could not accommodate our RESERVED and PRE PAID booking and would/could not offer an upgrade. Their only concession provided was waiving the resort fees. The very next couple checking in also experienced the same poor treatment. During the course of the week we learned of 4 other couples who also had the same experience. I feel for the front desk staff. This is an obvious standard practice that they are left to deal with the angry frustrated customers. The management team is failing them. Other key notables. There is a new condo being built right next door. Expect to hear noise from 7AM to 6PM. Looks like this may go on for at least another month. The outdoor balcony space is dirty with concrete dust from the build site. This has also stained the outdoor furniture. The room and hotel itself is looking pretty worn down for only being open for what we were told is 2 years. Breakfast is underwhelming for a Marriott property. It was not much more than a continental breakfast. The staff struggled to keep items refilled and seating was limited and tables were hard to come buy that didn’t have dishes left uncleared from previous guest. When they were cleared they weren’t wiped down. The cleaners struggled to turn over and make up the rooms. Ours was missed once and did not get completed until after 3PM the other days.

Beware!

Beware! There is a construction site immediately next to the hotel. Workers start at the construction site at 7am and work Monday to Saturday. You're unable to site and relax by the pool or on your balcony due to the noise and dust. Also staff is well below the Marriott standards. Only one elevator works in the building which you have to share with hotel cleaners who are up and down all day with their carts. Our room was not cleaned at all one day. We called front desk and complained and the assistant manager said he would need to do his 'due diligence' and find out what happened!! What?! If a guest says their room was not cleaned, end of story! Any other hotel, a manager would say 'we'll fix this asap'. Assist manager clearly is not able to understand that his role is to serve guests. He just talks over you and has a flippant answer to any question you have. Not worth staying here... way better options along the same stretch of the beach.

A room with a view of the Bronx

Horrible construction next store. This is my view from room 904. $500.00 a night to look at this mess!! Unacceptable
