From the inviting lobby (where I worked some mornings from) to the fascinating exhibit of art and photos throughout the hotel, and the incredible views on the rooftop - this hotel is absolutely wonderful, comfortable and esthetically pleasing. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the restaurant had good food. I opted out of the breakfast, which was 25 euros per person. The location is perfect - easy access to the train and all the central locations in the old town. The only slight discomfort was that the air conditioning felt about 24 Celsius/ 75 Fahrenheit, despite trying to get it cooler. I was here in August, and the heat outside was awful, so a cooler room would've been appreciated but it was not the end of the world. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The hotel didn’t find my booking at first but settled it later but it takes me like 30 minutes standing, but they provided the free upgrade to compensate which is acceptable. The overall location is good and walkable to key tourist spot in 6-8 mins walk. The room is big and clean, while as it is a historical hotel, the room door and window etc facilities inside the room are relatively old. But overall it’s a good stay.

Beautiful hotel with a lot of character. The property definitely needs maintenance. Carpeted areas smell musty. The air conditioner's filter was really in need of a cleaning. My room felt stuffy and damp.
