I really love the Dakota as it has a lovely boutique feel, great lounge area to relax in. The rooms are very nice and stylish with plenty room and comfortable beds. The staff are very nice. My first choice when heading to Edinburgh, especially when visiting the outlets in Livingston.

Broomhall Castle Hotel
Each room is individually appointed giving them unique feels like one would find as a guest in a home. En suite bathrooms were updated and very clean. It was a thrill to stay in an historic home I just wish there had been more information available about its history.

The Stirling Highland Hotel
Slightly disappointed as we stayed there 25 years ago and it is not as luxurious as it was then. It's starting to look at little worn. Having said that, the service was good, breakfast was reasonable and the room was a good size. The price was definitely reasonable, too. We didn't take our car this ...
