Flights To Chongqing\n

If you followed the Yangtze River far enough east from Shanghai, you’d eventually run into China’s largest inland city. It’s a place with skyscrapers that rival the surrounding peaks and a jumping-off point to some of the country’s finest river boat tours. Check out Wotif’s awesome deals on cheap flights to Chongqing and book your trip today.

Getting Around Chongqing

Flights to Chongqing come to a stop at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport (CKG), 21km from the city centre. Once you’ve gathered your luggage, head outside and hail a cab to take you to your hotel. If you’re staying downtown, that’s great, because you get to ride the monorail—remember that epic Simpsons episode?

Not a fan of riding the rails? There’s always the option of taking taxis and buses.

When You Land…

Arriving on one of the Chongqing flights in the morning, are you? Trade the confines of the airplane for the open air patio of a tea house. Sample every tea from chrysanthemum and Jin Fo to something called golden monkey. No, we don’t know what’s in it.

After a morning spent sucking down warm cups of gunpowder tea, you’ll have enough energy to spend the afternoon exploring the Snowy Jade Cave. The interior is the only cave in the country that is pure white jade, so yeah, it’s pretty awesome.

Live Like a Local

Living like a local means getting out of your room and exploring places not listed in a travel brochure. Places like the Shapingba district have great hole-in-the-wall restaurants serving up delicious plates of jiangtuan fish and pork leg cooked with rock candy. If you’re lucky, one of the locals may let you try some homemade baijiu. It’s the Chinese version of moonshine.

Everybody loves to save money while going on holiday, and we’re guessing you’re no different. So check out these incredible deals on Chongqing hotels and stuff your pockets with extra money. Hey, why not use that money to extend your trip to include a ride on the Ngong Ping 360? All you have to do is book one of Wotif’s Hong Kong packages and make the 2-hour flight west!
