We did not sleep all night because of a sound like a jet engine above our ceiling. We phoned the supposedly 24 hour reception several times and got no answer. The noise was horrific. We went down in the morning to ask to be moved and also to be compensated as we were staying three nights. While we’re at the desk people from another room 301 came and made exactly the same complaint, neither of us were greeted with any kind of customer service you would expect. We were queried and questioned as though we were making it up. we were moved to a much smaller room. We went and had breakfast while waiting to change rooms and merely asked If they would give us breakfast as compensation. But no, we paid 34 GBP with nothing given, whilst you can compensate for lack of sleep on a holiday which leaves you totally wrecked the next day, You could at least hope for a free breakfast. In the end after much negotiation, we received a 16 G BP discount. I would not stay there again again.
