This is an older property, yes the rooms are dated, but ours was very clean and the price is great. So, realistically, if you want all the upgrades you select another option and pay double. The only upgrade I think it should have had was a new mattress, ours was sagging, but for one night it was ok. That one thing really makes a difference. The older furniture, not a big deal at all. It was clean and not damaged. Anyone complaining is not rationalizing the price point versus their expectations. You want the Ritz ambiance, that’s not this and you can get that and you will pay for that. You want a clean, safe and quaint place to stay for a fair price in a nice area? This is it. As far as friendliness, the guy at check in was not at all friendly, but the guy at checkout was very personable. We would not hesitate to stay again.
