Brunei stays as unique as you are

Accommodation In Brunei\n

Blink and you might miss Brunei, which shares the island of Borneo with Malaysia and Indonesia. But don’t overlook this tiny nation—it’s big on culture, adventure and friendly locals. Hotels in Brunei (and those locals) are ready to roll out the welcome mat just as soon as you land.

Things to Do in Brunei

Does your promenade need some practice? Head to the pedestrian walk on the Bandar Seri Begawan waterfront. You’ll have great views of the Brunei River, the fascinating stilt villages of Kampong Ayer and the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, with its 44-m golden dome. If you’re up for an adventure, take a water taxi around Kampong Ayer and roam the boardwalks between the houses (don’t fall in!).

Promenading can be tiring, so refuel at Tamu Kianggeh market, just west of the Saifuddien Mosque across the Kianggeh River. Extra fun: You can take a water taxi here as well! At the market, you’re sure to “like” the liking, marinated fish that’s a regional staple, or nasi lemak (coconut milk rice served with chicken, egg and cucumber).

Getting To & Around Brunei

Brunei International Airport (BWN) may be small, but it gets the job done for this country of half a million people. It’s 8 km from central Bandar Seri Begawan, and the whole country is just under 6,000 square km, so getting to Brunei hotels is a breeze. If you’re lucky enough to have a layover in neighbouring Malaysia’s capital, book Kuala Lumpur hotels too, and really make your holiday count.

If you want your mates to say “Where?” when you tell them your holiday plans, book a Brunei hotel with Wotif and get ready to teach them a geography lesson. Round out your resume with Kuala Lumpur holiday packages and you’ll be the envy of Southeast Asia backpackers worldwide.
