Hotels with Tennis Courts in Bonaire

The resort is beautiful. Our room (1 bedroom) was perfect. Facilities were excellent. Food ranged from good to incredible, really a hit or miss. The pool was beautiful and the location was just what we wanted right on the water. Bar staff very friendly as well. We did have an odd incident for which we never received a satisfactory answer. Upon waking our second day, we noticed that the door to adjoining room (not ours) was open. The door on our side was open as well as the door to the other room. The other room had been unoccupied, but it looked like someone had slept on the bed. The rear sliding door going out on the patio was also open for the other room, and upon closer inspection, I noticed that there was a key in the sliding door - on the outside. We went to the front desk and they said that "You might not have locked the door between the rooms. Yesterday we had pest control go in and spray that other room." They then suggested that "The wind" might have blown our door open. If so, why were BOTH doors open? Why was there a key in the door? Why had someone slept in an empty room. Just to highlight that NOTHING WAS TAKEN FROM OUR ROOM. But the response we got was unsatisfactory and, frankly, ridiculous. Only blemish in an otherwise great trip, but it did make us paranoid (putting a chair under the doorknob, etc) for the remainder of the trip.

We’ve been coming to Bonaire (for diving) since 1992. We’ve seen lots of positive changes to the island, in spite of the reef decline. After more than 30 trips here, we feel qualified to comment on lodging. Chogogo is located on the footprint of the old iconic Sunset Resort. Bari Reef is a step away. The resort is well run and beautiful. The room has a kitchenette, including a larger refrigerator than you typically find on Bonaire. It has a Nespresso machine with two starter capsules (get more down the street at the Zhung Kong Supermarket). The rooms have cold AC, a lanai with chairs and drying rack, a huge, comfortable bed, plenty of space for clothes, and a refreshing rain head shower with very hot water. The grounds are simply beautiful. A lazy river and sparkling pool. A large bar and two restaurants. Prices are fair and perhaps even low for Bonaire. They have an excellent dive operation onsite. They have vehicle and bicycle rentals. What more could you want? Love it here - will be back.

Very very nice resort, wife and I LOVED it ! Food was great, vibe was awesome, our suite was awesome (just newly renovated), location was wonderful (3min drive from airport) , definitely an upscale resort, everything wood at the resort was hand made at the resort, very beautiful place and will definitely be back ! ❤️❤️
