Great staff! Room was very clean and had everything we need to have a wonderful vacation. Location was great. Just a few minutes from town. Easy swimming, diving and beach access. Plenty of loungers with or without shade. Beach bar and restaurant had wonderful food and reasonable prices.Car rental onsite.One of the best stays ever.

We got a free upgrade to an ocean view room. That was a pleasant surprise. Room was clean and comfortable, ac worked well. Staff was friendly and efficient. Grounds were well taken care of and plenty of beach chairs and palapas. We never had trouble finding one. Only one minor annoyance was the loud music in the evening lasted a little later for us. We had a wonderful trip and would definitely consider Chogogo again Thanks

The staff was great. We didn't eat at the property, but friends we traveled with said it was good. The only bad thing we can say about the place. Is parking. It's hard to fined a parking spot returning from dinner.

Very overrated property. Management and staff in the main friendly but need serious customer service training. * No bottled water available. * Room cleaned every 3 days * Room condition poor. Floor dirty. Walls grubby. Fittings damaged. Furniture cheap and inadequate * Sat down for breakfast and waitress told us that next day we must go to hostess desk first as we had made her walk all the way to our table and back again (10 metres). 'Good Morning' would have been a better greeting. * No beer on tap. Bottled selection frequently out of stock * Beer not cold at beach bar some days. Not restocking * Have to take room towels to reception to change * On cleaning day no towels, toilet paper, soap left in room. We were told we could pick up at reception.

Nice clean resort with a good beach area and loved the lazy river. Location was in walking distance to restaurants and only about a 20 minute walk into town. Onsite restaurants were good as well. Our room was nice and enjoyed having a small kitchen for making breakfast in the mornings. I removed one star due to the terribly uncomfortable bed and pillows. Suggestion to management would be to invest in better quality mattresses and bedding.

Overall it was a very nice Resort. The pool area and lazy river were great too spend the day at. The room and facilities were very clean and updated. Make sure to request a blanket for the bed. Taxi’s were available with the front desk calling to arrange. But a little difficult to arrange for the return trip when away from the hotel. Cost was $15 each way. Highly recommend renting a car for your stay. The ride around the island is pretty easy and interesting. A stop at Sebastians beach area to swim and watch the wind surfers was definitely worth the visit. The snorkeling in front of the hotel was very good. The restaurant and beach bar food was very good as well as the service. Would highly recommend Chogogo to someone planning a trip to the island.

Pros Nice private beach with easy snorkeling access (for a fee at the dive shop). Beach is man-made, look into the history. I didn’t know before booking and if I did I probably would have found a more ethical place. Free and plentiful beach chairs and loungers. Lazy river was a fun little way to cool off as was the water slide! Kitchenette is great for making a few meals in the room and saving money. You can walk to the supermarket, about 15-20 minutes away. Cons Hotel provided limited amenities without a fee. Odd that you have to request a microwave in your room (even though it’s a kitchenette) and a blanket, and face towels. You only get 2 nespresso capsules for your stay. I think you can buy more from reception. Higher prices at restaurants but to be expected from a resort. A little bait and switch feeling at times. Yoga is offered on the website/expedia but it’s available for a fee like $10/day. Car rental is 2 day minimum, also not stated online. Room only cleaned every 3 days (so only once in my 5 night stay). There were a lot of little ants in the room. Plus sand and dust from all the wind. Seems like daily or even every other day cleaning should be provided. Power outage one day and nothing to provide alternatives/resources to guests.

Our bathroom had a leak and water went everywhere. The staff wasn’t friendly or apologetic and made us feel like we were bothering them when we asked to switch rooms. The room they tried to put us in smelled like urine so we ended up staying in our original room. They ended up fixing the leak but the experience was off putting and I wouldn’t return or recommend.
