This is a unique home in the Des Moines area. It is meant as a destination- with enough to keep you entertained for your whole stay, no need to find fun elsewhere. Everything is here for you to cook and to have fun. This saves you and your group time and money! This home is also fully decorated to make it feel homey. We do the extras to make your stay better!
The Aurora is the house for family and group entertaining. You can enjoy the large open living room the flows into the contemporary dining room that formally seats eight. The kitchen has been completely remodeled with new appliances, outfitted for your baking, cooking, and grilling desires. The Aurora comes with super comfy beds, luxury linens and towels, board games, a vast array of complimentary toiletries, washer and dryer with soap and softener, 2 tv viewing areas, and a coffee station.... basically, anything we think you might need to enjoy your stay. You can enjoy grilling on the patio set up for outdoor eating then enjoy the party room- including more seating and another table for 4.
The party room includes bar, serving area for food (or to put presents on), ping pong table, a 75" tv, SKEE BALL, and a 4-player stand up video game with over 4,000 preloaded arcade games!!! Video games include- Golden Tee 2022, Silver Strike, and nearly every game from Play Station, Nintendo, Dreamcast, Sega, Atari, etc... Come play your childhood favorites like Hydro Thunder, Tapper, Q Bert, Tron, Dig Dug, Pac Man, Sonic, Donkey Kong, Mortal Combat, Super Mario... and the list just goes on!

***Please note there are three extra queen deluxe blow up mattresses in addition to the beds listed. These beds are included in the 17 person capacity. There are spaces to put these beds without them being in the way if you need to use them. There are also comfy comforters pillows and sheets for these beds as well.

I love to make people happy and that exactly what my properties are designed for. I'm a landlord by trade. I have apartment complexes and rental homes. Then six years ago I created my first vacation rental property, and it grew from there. I offer vacation rentals because it's fun! Making sure groups are set up to have a blast is a challenge that I find very rewarding. I take this seriously. Being a big kid at heart, I make it my mission to deliver the fun for kids- also being one who appreciates nice things, I deliver comfort and attention to detail for the adults. I truly desire for you to have the most fun and relaxation as possible, and with the fewest hassles as well. That is why we put in so much effort before you get there. We provide and offer many things that set us apart. Our family had such a great time at this Urbandale home! The location made it easy to get to downtown Des Moines and but the neighborhood was peaceful. The game room was a huge hit with the kids (and the adults, too!)—we spent hours playing together. The kitchen was well stocked, which made meal times simple, and the bathrooms had everything we needed and were v@clean. It really felt like a home away from home, and we appreciated all the thoughtful touches.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had an easy checkin and found the place to have just about anything we needed. All the rooms and open spaces were so fun for our family of 6. The kids and hubby liked the garage game room, and the tvs. I liked the nice dining room and cozy living room, lots of windows and light. The kitchen was well stocked and 2 refrigerators available! We enjoyed the keurig coffee each morning. The grill was great, and the backyard cozy. All the little extras, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc that was availa le, and the shampoo, body wash! I wish i hadnt packed all of our shampoo there was plenty available. Things that we wished were there: the kitchen needed a can opener, and more sizes of bowls, the oven took a very long time to preheat, i was unsure of its efficiency. I would have liked if a highchair, and more plastic plates (kid friendly) were there. The rooms were cozy but no curtains in any windows made for bright early mornings. I would have liked some drawers or more tables for luggage in the bedrooms. More trashcans, especially upstairs. The bathrooms with toilets were both small. The shower in the basement was great, but as a big person i was uncomfortable on both bathrooms. We used the clubhouse pool, but its not quite as close as we'd hoped. More info about where to go, and park at the clubhouse would have been helpful. A packnplay would have been really nice. But baby loved all the space to run around.Overall we had a great ti

Plenty of room was the only positive

Arcade didn’t work and when asked how to work the system we were treated as an inconvenience. Teenage boys with us and this was the only reason we booked this house. Pool was miles away not in walking distance. One bedroom smelled like something died and had to keep the door closed.

When we checked in the house had not been cleaned. Trash was not taken out and there and the beds had not been made dirty sheets and towels laying on the floor. Also we could not find the pool that we had access to by the address. I wish when the rooms with 3 & 4 beds read that they were bunk beds.

We had a fun time staying at this house. We visited downtown Des Moines and had a great time at Adventureland. The only suggestion would be to have some dish towels in the kitchen. The arcade games, ping pong table and skee-ball were popular with the kids.

Great house, clean comfortable beds

This is a great house for groups with clean and comfortable beds! We loved watching replays of our hockey game in the garage! Just a few items need attention : the kitchen needs more forks (there are only 3), the upstairs needs a few box fans because two of the bedrooms don't have AC (one of the vents doesn't blow cold air, the other doesn't have a vent). Highly recommend overall!

Great stay, fun setup, lots of sleep space

We really enjoyed our stay here! The neighborhood felt safe, the garage was set up fun with games, a ping pong table, bar, tv, table, and couch. Great for lounging around and having the garage doors open on a nice day. The house also has many bedrooms with multiple beds in several. This allowed everyone to sleep comfortably. Will be booking again in the future.

Great Game Room

Our large group of 8 adults and 5 kids had tons of fun in the game room! Kids spent the entire time there. So much fun and things to do in that space! There are lots of beds and they were pretty comfortable. The kitchen is pretty small with minimal counter space and lacking in supplies. The bathroom setup is a little misleading, there is a full bath upstairs, tiny sink & toilet on the main floor and a shower and sink only in the basement which smells super damp and musty. One awesome feature is that they have all the streaming services already setup and ready for you to watch!
