Convenient location right off of I-35 exit 70 civic mills parkway. Near a gas state Shake Shack and McDonalds. Breakfast ok. Very clean. Convenient parking. Recommend you request room away from elevator. Ice machine is next to elevator and is noisy

Mediocre hotel and a lot of weed

The hotel is located in a convenient location in West Des Moines. Cleanliness was mediocre, the breakfast was lacking, and it seemed to be very humid in the room (I stayed a week). The hotel was about what I expected for the chain, but the amount of marijuana use on the property and in the hotel was ridiculous. People were openly smoking in the parking lot several days as well as people inside the building. It was nearly impossible to not smell marijuana in my room being sucked in through the ac unit, or in the hallway. I would not stay at this location again.
