The beds weren’t the most comfortable but still enough to sleep through the night. There was some loud rowdy kids all over the place but that is obviously not the hotel’s fault. The woman at the desk was very apologetic about it. Very nice. It was clean and hospitable

Never again!

Room was dirty, garbage not changed from previous occupants, someone’s dirty socks left in the closet, public hair in the shower, hair all over in the sheets and stains! Hot tub was barely warm!

Disgusting

The first room they gave is reeked of weed and air freshener... so i asked for a different room. I didnt want to complain again and get kicked out from the hotel.The 2nds room was not cleaned at all.. i personal went to walmart and bought cleaning supplies and cleaned it myself. I found hair accessories in the room... the remote was under the bed... there was a sticky substance on the desk and dry whiteish substance on the nightstand. Both phones in the room were nonfunctional.....its was a horrible disgusting experiences and i will never stay in this brand hotel again. I have many photos bit for reason it will not let me upload imagin that

Overall it was good

Overall our stay was good. When we got to the front desk to check in for 2 out of our 4 rooms we were met with an eyeroll, which we later found out was because she had to use the bathroom and then got a second eyeroll when she realized that we had 2 rooms to check into (IMO go ahead and ask if you can quick run to the restroom ... we would have 100% been ok with it ... I promise!) The rooms were great! All 4 of our rooms were clean and inviting! Since we were all there as a family, we ordered pizza in. We asked the gal at the front desk if we could borrow the breakfast nook to eat if we brought our own plates, etc and cleaned up after ourselves ... we were told no because she was working by herself and didn't have time to clean up after us .. even though at the time someone else was cleaning it out after giving a demonstration of some sort ... and then after we ate in our rooms, we walked past the breakfast nook on our way to the pool we could hear talking and laughing coming from the breakfast nook, even though the doors were closed. It's fine if we aren't allowed to use it but it seemed a bit odd that others were able to. Maybe I don't know the whole story. The pool area seemed clean but it was a pretty big deal to get pool towels. That didn't happen to me but I did listen to the conversation. Housekeeping staff was friendly overall. The gal who took care of the breakfast did a great job and was friendly. We will probably be back.

A step up from tent camping

I was not thoroughly impressed enough to return. Maybe it’s my age, my taste has changed, or I’ve simply experienced much better for the price. The price is about the only positive I can report besides the friendly lady at check in. The bed wasn’t very comfortable although my husband said it was fine. The room stunk, mind you we had a pet friendly room- it smelled like they sprayed a bunch of air freshener right before we checked in, which indeed wore off. Who the heck puts carpet in a pet friendly room? Gross. The walls are paper thin you can hear a fruit fly fart from next door, not to mention the noisy busy interstate a quarter mile away. The breakfast was so unappetizing we didn’t even eat it the 2nd day. No eggs available, I’m assuming because of the price. Your typical cheap carb-heavy options: waffles, cold cereal, yogurt, toast, etc. If you need a cheap place close by just to sleep for a night, this would be perfect. This is Des Moines, there are many options for lodging depending on your taste and preference. I might pay a little more for something a bit bougier or just consider a vrbo next time.

All seemed to be in order with the expectations.. A couple of things that got my attention though quite a bit of dog waste in a common grass area. Hallways were a bit dirtier than i would have expected. I did talk to front desk and mentioned how noisy the fan was in the restroom of our room and they mentioned they would get to it right away...

The room that I had was not clean at all when I first walked in all I could smell was cigarette smoke, which this is supposed to be a non-smoking facility, and then in the bathroom, there was a dirty washcloth hanging over the shower curtain bar the couch cushions had stains all over them There were cobwebs in the corners it was filthy

I would rate a zero star if I could. The tub in our room wasn’t draining at all and it took the staff over 24 hrs to come to fix it. They were very understaffed. They only had 1 person running everything from 3pm-late at night and possibly even through the morning. The check in line was all the way to the door. She told some guest that she couldn’t give any towels to them since she hasn’t had time to do the laundry. Our comforter had old blood stains. Our room smelled like cigarette smoke even though it’s supposed to be smoke free. You have to put in any request by 9am at the front desk or you don’t get it, which wasn’t mentioned to us at check-in. The lady that came to fix our tub finally was nice enough to give us towels even though she said that normally they wouldn’t do that since we didn’t put in our request early enough. They only clean the rooms after a 3 day stay. The pool had very murky water and was most likely not tested. We only saw the same 3 staff members there all weekend. And we checked in on a Friday. The lady that served breakfast was the same one that does all of the housecleaning. I felt bad for the staff since they were very overworked. Every room was filled. And I only know this because she was going to try to give us a new room since our tub wouldn’t drain but they didn’t have another room to offer us. I hope management sees this and hires more help!
