Staff and front desk was very kind and helpful. The entire property is run down, inside and out. Many m not very well maintained. Many areas in need of repair in the room. Toulet runs,smoke detector was installed improperly. The faucet in the tub was very loose.

Don’t waste your time staying!

I was double charged and have yet to see my money back, I called to the front desk and they were short staffed so they couldn’t bring me what I asked for & the hotel was crowded w antique pots bc they had a sell going on within the rooms so it caused for slow elevators etc

The only issue we had was paying for a suite that was near something that made outrageous noise kicking on and off. Was told at checkout it was the elevator. Would have appreciated some type of compensation for not sleeping due to noise.

Staff was very good. It was snowy and the entrance and parking lot were not cleared. Floors needed vacuuming. We found popcorn on the floor in our room.

We had issues with the heat blowing cold air in the room. When the maintenance person came to help he was abrupt and rude, pushed a few buttons and then snapped “Is it blowing cold air NOW?!!? before turning and leaving. When I asked why he spoke to me that way he refused to answer. Ten minutes later it was blowing cold air again. When I went to the front desk he was talking about me and shushed everyone at the desk. He had to come back up and fix it (it still didn’t fix it) and refused to apologize. I had to make another trip down and ask to be moved to another room. The staff never apologized for his behavior and I had to ask for the name of the manager. When you drop $200 on a room for one night you don’t expect to be treated so rudely.

Comfortable and Quiet

I was traveling for business in the Des Moines area and stayed here. Commute to and from downtown Des Moines wasn't bad, with travel time around 20 minutes one way. The room was clean and quiet. The shower head didn't have a lot of power, but it got the job done and was the only negative from my experience. Overall, the hotel was great, and I will stay there again in the future.

No hot water

Had a few issues, first room had no hot water and wouldn’t get warm. Rooms very small, was able to change rooms and that helped but what a hassle! 2nd room had stuff written on the walls and barely anyway water in the toilet.
