The room was OK considering it was in a national park. The staff was less than accomodating. We booked 2 rooms and they gave us 2 different buildings. We asked for rooms next to each other but they said it was not possible. However, when we arrived at one of the rooms, someone else was just checking in as well and they clearly had rooms available in the same building. We paid for a queen size room with a view but instead received a room with 2 double beds with no view. Did not feel like arguing with the staff.

The location was great inside the park, the staff were helpful, and the restaurant was fairly good. But we had problems with our room. There were lots of hairs on the bathroom floor when we arrived and the wall was oddly dirty, which gave me a feeling that the whole place hadn’t been cleaned well at all. It was also very run down, with old beds, a shower you have to yank hard to turn on, broken floor tiles and what not. I’ve stayed in rustic places and am generally fine with that but the room there grossed me out. I wouldn’t stay there again. My husband stayed in furnace creek last year and he says he didn’t have those problems.

The clerk went out of his way to give us information on the meteor shower, which we were there to see. He even told us the best times to show up at the viewing site. The room was clean and a very nice size, especially the lovely shower. And we both enjoyed the nice selection of food at the breakfast buffet. We highly recommend this prooerty.

We did not stay .The room was musty and not clean.The beds were not good.We booked another place to stay.We requested a refund but none was given.Very unprofessional. The property is not being kept up and they are relying on yhe location for customers.I only booked this place because of expedias rating.. It is great that this place exists in the depths of Death Valley. Rooms are basic and dated but spacious. Mattress was covered in plastic which made crunching sounds… shower was just ok with low water pressure. On the plus side buffet breakfast was great for $15 extra.
