The main level offers a soaring great room, four gas fireplaces, custom kitchen, dining area, extra living room with big screen TV and one bedroom and bath. There is a hot tub on the back deck of this level. The upper level has the master suite with large, walk-in shower and private deck, three additional bedrooms and two baths. Renters will appreciate all of the functional details found throughout the home. The custom kitchen features granite counter tops, double ovens, an island cook top, double dishwashers and the home has laundry facilities on two levels. The basement level features a large custom bar with fridge, pool table, air hockey table, bar, living area with big screen TV, two bedrooms, one bath and a tiled ski/mud entry.

Great place for a family get together

My family thoroughly enjoyed this home. That said, here are some things you need to know before going. There is no jacuzzi tub. A large walk-in shower has been substituted. The kitchen utensils can handle a large group. The ice and water dispensers on the refrigerator do not work. Be careful, items in the refrigerator will freeze. The temperature is set too low but the sign says not to change. You will need you own bed pillows. I didn't know there could be such flat bed pillows. The location is great. We went horseback riding, visited the Purple Fiddle in Thomas, went to the state parks and even the Gandy Dinner Theater in Elkins. You can see deer from the windows in the house.

Fantastic Group Ski House

Beautiful home, perfectly equipped for large families/groups looking to get away for a ski or mountainside retreat. With 7 bedrooms, there was more than enough room for our group of 13 - everyone had their own bed! So close to the slopes we could have skied to them had there been snow. And what a treat to come back to a fantastic hot tub to soak in. Books, games, activities, smart TVs - everything you need to help keep the kids entertained - this place had it all!

Loved the large place, very beautiful! As a renter with the max number of guests I wish there were more towels available for hot tub & showers all going on at the same time. We could not get the main floor fireplace to turn on. All others were amazing!!

Summer Hiking Trip

I stayed at Hawthorne Lodge with my family, totaling 10 people, and there was plenty of room. Everything was very clean and organized. Some examples, towels & wash cloths on every bed and the light switches were labeled. I would absolutely stay here again and probably will for a ski trip.

Family get-a-way

This house was a great place for family to get together. Large rooms for gathering, eating with plenty of bedrooms and baths. Location was perfect for enjoying the Canaan Valley Resort, Blackwater Falls and other local adventures. Great large kitchen and eating area. A second refrigerator would have been appreciated. Two dishwashers and ovens, but only one fridge made storing food for the week a challenge.
