I was pleasantly surprised about the North Star Inn. Very clean!!! Don’t miss this little inn it is worth staying at. We didn’t want a commercial hotel and were looking for something clean and simple. This was perfect!! Thank you North Star Inn for a very comfortable cozy stay.

Great Service

Outside of property is a little rough. The inside has a nice kitchen with Fridge and microwave. Rooms are clean. Small TV. Its better than a motel 8. Strange check in. Either call a number or check in at the Moble Restaraunt. Its a truck stop with really good food. There is a couple of mini marts close. We stayed there 2 days. If you want a clean place to stay it's for you. If you want a 5 star hotel then look eleswhere so you won't be dissapointed. Great bargain for the money.

North Star Review

Walking through the door there was a strong mildew odor. Place was clean enough but many points of disrepair like dripping tub, missing light bulb in bathroom and missing trim at base of flooring along with fridge was inoperable. I would recommend yiu being your own pillows as theirs are awful. Also byo towels as theirs are not white. Over all average to below average stay buy will not return. Owners seem nice but need some more TLC as no doubt steps have been taken to make it better but projects are incomplete. BTW the restaurant they own, food is good but not completely down home cooking nor lives up to reviews. Wish them luck.

Don’t judge a book by its cover as they say quaint little motel family owned and operated personal touch. Wonderful accommodations couldn’t be more happy super friendly. Five stars all the way. They also own and run the diner one of the best dinners we’ve had on our trip And they treat you like family. Emoji let’s see.😊♥️😊

Very clean.. only place I’ve EVER seen, with a clean ceiling vent-fan in the bathroom! Comfortable Quiet EZ remote check-in since owner was at their restaurant and not able to be in two places at once [😱🤓].. had keypad entry on each room. There was a person in the room right next to us and we never heard a thing.

Peaceful night

This was just an overnight passing through the area stay. I like the quiet of the hotel and even though early in the evening there is a fair amount of truck traffic on the road in front, by 9:30 all was quiet and I had a wonderful nights sleep.

Very nice little Inn

The North Star Inn is a very cozy little place with comfortable beds and homey space. I really like this place. My reason for less than glowing ratings was not getting the text with my code and having to ask the housekeeping employee what I needed to do. Then needing to go to another place to get the information after a somewhat long stint of driving didn’t make me happy. I understand the place is under new management so there are things to get worked out. I will definitely stay here again.

I really enjoyed the coded entry. Loved no carpeting. Room with kitchenette, big bathroom with great hot water and pressure. My reason for 4 stars is the hairdryer did not work. I showered before bed and then couldn't dry my hair. I didn't call this in I was too tired. Oh, the tall sign isnt lighted at night and I missed the hotel. The double double yellow drining lines make the entry very confusing. But very nice stay. I will suggest this to more friends.

I had to go down the street to a diner to check in . The room was horrible and smelled like weed . Me and my wife spent twenty minutes there and left to go to a different hotel . Absolutely horrible

A nice little gem!

Check in was a little different needed to call for check in but he was very pleasant and helpful. Clean inside and out. Comfortable, good shower pressure. Nice little extra bc they have a kitchenette. No utensils bring your own. Felt safe in the area.

I liked that it was right off the highway and not far from the Ark Encounter. I did not like that a kitchenette was advertised but there were no utensils or dishwater and there wasn’t even a coffee pot in our room. The advertised breakfast place was closed the first day and it was a a run down truck stop but the food was good. This would not be a place I would stay again. Staff not on site.

Comfortable 2 nights.

The room was clean, linens clean, bed comfortable, tub including jets clean & maintained. All around we was happy with the room and at a great price too. You can tell they’ve been working to make updates and upgrades to all the rooms. The gentleman I talked to to check in was super nice and got things done even with his busy schedule tending to several other guest he got us taken care of and answered our questions. I won’t dog on the place but feel I still should warn about the breakfast set up. First off the restaurant that serves the breakfast allows smoking in it so if you can’t handle smoke avoid it (took everything for me to stay). Second the regulars will always come first by the server and by the cook or it’s how it was when we stayed. I was very specific with my order due to food allergies and sensitivity yet one of the things I said Do Not Put on my plate but on a Seperate plate to go to my husband and watched my server write it all down was right on my veggie omelet. So there went half my omelet because it wasn’t safe for me to eat and after waiting an hour and a half I wasn’t going to ask for them to fix it. Server walked by us 6 times before we could get her attention for a coffee refill and request a water that was grossly chlorinated. Our server never came back to offer a refill or anything. So I would recommend the Hotel but look for an alternative for meals.
