Not 3 star. Awful mattress and everything In room very dated. Felt like we were in a year 6 school camp room. Smelt very strongly of room deodorant. Dick and Sally nice people though.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention and I am sorry that you found the bed uncomfortable and an overpowering fragrance. Yes, we do have lots of school groups visit. Your feedback is appreciated.

Lovely lovely host! So accomodating, nothing a trouble, we turned up late but she managed a beautiful dinner of lamb shanks and salmon fillet for us. A breakfast fit for a king, delivered on time and piping hot and a wonderful packed lunch for our day hiking. So peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay much more than we had anticipated.

Thank you. Great that you liked the setting and the friendly service and the facilities. Not everyone uses the hot plates so they are stored in the cupboard to keep the bench tidy. Thank you for your review.

Great hospitality, and pet friendly. Owner was fantastic, plenty of room for dog to run around. Great halfway point from Vic to Qld.

Yes, some of our rooms are pet friendly so we do need to know when you book. I am glad you appreciated the hospitality. We get lots of visitors using us as a half way point from the north to the south. Thanks for the review.

The bed retained a lot of heat from the day and even after the aircon and fan being used for hours it still didn’t cool down until after midnight. Pillows were ridiculously buoyant and uncomfortable. Aircon unit was old and didn’t efficiently cool the room. Wifi wasn’t working and no coverage on Vodafone network. The room was clean, hotel was quiet and on site parking was good but it lacked value for money. Ironically it was the most expensive hotel in the Coonabarabran area. Would probably be ok for a winter visit but would look elsewhere for a summer stay.

We have had several weeks of very hot weather and the nights have been warm. The air cons are checked regularly and hopefully it was on the correct setting. There are numerous pillows in the room of different density - I am sorry that you found yours uncomfortable. There have been issues with the wifi and we are working on it. There is telstra service and guests are always able to use our phone to make contact. I am pleased you found the room clean and the venue quiet and the parking good. It does pay to book directly. Thanks for your review.

I am pleased you appreciate the quiet location. We are happy for guests to bring their dog as long as we are advised as only some of the rooms are pet friendly. Thanks for your review
