In dark as a woman alone it was very hard to find and not end up down a dark alley, Tax can't drop off in front; stops further back; must walk past shop and then it's the 2nd restaurant; not where map shows. Room itself was nice, clean, warm, decent. Wifi is behind the door though which was ridiculous; couldn't find. Elevator had a waiter come rushing through; restaurant looked maybe great but no indication from room what it might be like, menu, pricing, etc.

It is a basic hotel but location is excellent . Right accross a Metro, lots of food options. Service is also very good. It is clean ans rhe rooms seem newly renovated.

Honestly this place is a hidden gem, from the moment I check in, to check out there was nothing I could complain about. Beds comfy, area was a perfect walk to all transport and bars. I didn’t try breakfast, but I will definitely be booking here again!

Excellent location, very clean and modern. You may wish to check layout of some rooms beforehand e.g. room I had inclided the shower as part of the main room so person showering fully visible to rest of the room (toilet was in a separate room though). Probably not a problem for couples but just in case you are booking a double room with family or friends etc.

Terrific hotel

The Hotel was in a fantastic location for seeing all of Cologne’s sights, easy to get to, park the car (safely), and was clean as a whistle, all supported by friendly staff. The only bugbear was that there was no AC in the room - i had to leave the windows open to mitigate the stifling heat, and that led to flying insects eating me alive!

Avoid this hotel if you want to sleep

What they don't tell you is that this hotel has its own function venue, taking up much of the ground, 1st and 2nd floors. The two nights we there, they hosted insanely loud parties until 2am - so loud our bed was literally vibrating! It was very challenging to sleep (despite the ear plugs they provide), there was little by way of apology the next morning except that "they have a very busy December". The rooms themselves are okay, and the location is great - but next time we are in Cologne we will try a hotel that we can actually sleep in

Good room but corrupt staff.

Everything was OK up until it was time to check out. We had to check out very early in the morning -- 4:30 pm and I asked the front desk agent if he could call a taxi for us. That's when everything went bad. A car pulls in that does not have any Taxi markings on it and it was a black Mercedes as opposed to the cream colored ones that drive all over the city. The front desk agent comes outside and, in front of my eyes, the driver hands him 5 EUR. I asked how much the 15 minute trip to the airport would approximately cost and he said $50. Well, without traffic the driver rang up EUR $72. Botom line: the night shift agent is corrupt and took advantage of guests who were time pressed to get to the airport. This was not an arms length transaction but an opportunity for him to take advantage of an opportunity at a referral fee. The hotel itself was OK. The room had its unique quirks such as high vaulted ceilings and windows that opened out. There was no HVAC and the shower lacked any lighting. The "queen bed" is actually two beds pushed together, so they posted misleading information on that. The room itself was clean and adequately maintained. I paid top dollar for a junior suite and I'll make sure to avoid this hotel on my next trip to Cologne all because a night shift employee decided to take advantage of me.

Very Nice room. Lots of wardrobe space for two people. Comfy bed. Great location, walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go and good public transport links. breakfast was okay but a little expensive for the quality compared to other local options. Staff were very nice. Happy with the price of the stay. Only issue was the drain in the sink emitted a bad smell throughout the stay but I’m not sure if that was the hotels specific issue or an issue in the area. Would stay again :)

-Hotel with friendly staff -3mins walk from bus station -Due to living crisis, room cleaning service is only available by request But Please don’t stay here during weekends - During our stay, there were party until 4am , we can still hear the noise with ear plugs/ AirPod, which made us couldn’t sleep all night.
