Cobram Barooga is situated on the mighty Murray River. In just under three hours’ drive from Melbourne, the Victorian state’s capital, you will find yourself in the heart of Sun Country on the Murray.
With some of the largest inland beaches in the southern hemisphere, you will be captivated by the lifestyle, towering gums and native bushland. The picturesque Thompson’s Beach is located moments from the town centre and is a great spot to relax by the river, enjoy a river cruise, meet for a picnic/BBQ or explore the nearby walking tracks.
Fishing is a popular past time, throw in a line to catch a prized Murray Cod, Murray Cray or Yellowbelly.
Cobram Barooga is considered a golfers paradise. The 36 holes on the Old and West courses of the Cobram Barooga Golf Course keep golfing groups returning year after year.

Start your experience with a visit to Monichino Wines, The Big Strawberry or surround yourself with sky high living sculptures for as far as the eye can see at Cactus Country.
If you are into nature, walkers and bird watchers will love the trail at Quinn Island, winding through the River Red Gum and Silver Wattle forest. You can also explore the Barooga Botanical Gardens, which offers six acres of manicured gardens trees, walkways and a fun playground.
