Welcome to your creekside retreat on James Island — perfectly situated between downtown Charleston and Folly Beach. Ideal for families, groups of friends, or anyone seeking a peaceful getaway with easy access to all the Lowcountry has to offer.

Centrally located for your beach getaway, or business trip. James Island is close to everything, and very easy to get to. You will have the whole main house to yourself, but the backyard is shared (fire pit, hot tub, garden, grill, swingset). Free parking for up to 4 vehicles onsite.

In addition to the bedrooms, full baths, full kitchen, game room and living room, our backyard is a wonderful place to hang out. We have a creek, a garden and fruit trees, a gas grill, a hot tub, and a fire pit. So much to enjoy as you are waterfront. You are even welcome to fish in the waterway (catch & release), or use our kayaks for a jaunt down the estuary.

We have smart TVs with many apps to enjoy.

You will have the entire main house to yourself. It has a kitchen, two bathrooms, three bedrooms, a living room, dining room, and game room. You may also feel free to enjoy the back or front yard, which is shared with our other guests. We can accommodate four guest vehicles. We give you a code to enter on the keypad a few days before you arrive. You can check in anytime after 4pm. We charge a $50 early check-in/late check-out fee, and can only guarantee we can accommodate it on the day of arrival/check out.

We live locally and are available to assist with any needs that arise. We are always available via message.

Rules:
No smoking anywhere on the property. No drugs or parties.

Because there are shared walls, we ask that you respect quiet hours. (10pm-7am)

We provide towels, linens, toiletries, tea and coffee.

There is a creek behind our house. If you let your children into our backyard, please be aware that the creek is attached, and be water safe.

We provide a bag of beach essentials, which includes beach towels and beach chairs (8), which you are welcome to use during your stay. Does not include snorkeling gear.

No pets, other than certified Service Animals, with proof of service sent prior to check-in.

Please note: there is a $50 fee for an early check in or late checkout. For late checkout without prior approval, the fee is $50/hour, or portion thereof.

The cleaning fee is based on a "courteous guest". Any excessive dirtiness or neglect will accrue an additional $95 fee.

We had a great stay at Sarah's place. The house was clean and well stocked with anything we needed during the stay. communication was super easy - no issues finding, getting in, checking out etc. Great location for splitting time between downtown Charleston and Folly. We were so busy running around that we didn't get a chance to hang much in the backyard, but it was very cute!

As mentioned house was well positioned between the downtown/historical activities, beach activities, and airport. Also close to grocery store, pharmacy, coffee, and places to eat. House was clean and comfortable with no complaints on beds or space. It is a busy road in the front of the house, but leads to easy to find location.

The house is a great size. super clean, and well kept. Beds are VERY comfortable, and there is a white noise/sound nachine in every bedroom that was wonderful!The showers are great and the owner provided Qtips and dental floss picks and my all time favorite, more than one roll of 2 ply toilet paper!Beach towels, chairs and beach toys were provided and perfect for what we needed.Kitchen was well equipped and loved the big dining table.The hot tub is nice and the yard is well maintained and spacious. It backs up to a creek so there are some mosquitos - bring some mosquito repellent and you'll be good to go!Great location for us to enjoy both downtown Charleston and Folly Beach. Short drive to both! Woukd 100% stay here again!

Breath of Fresh Air!

We booked this property last minute, as we decided to stay in Charleston on our way to Hilton Head. There were five in our group: my wife and me, our daughters (13 and 7), and we also brought my father-in-law. We had booked separate rooms at a motel near the airport, but we decided it might be better to stay somewhere a little more like home after staying in a motel the night prior. That being said, this place was exactly what we needed! Everyone in my family was impressed by something different in the house. The kids loved the hot tub and bunk beds. My wife loved the kitchen, my father-in-law was impressed (as was I) with the how comfortable the bed was, and I was relieved that it all just kind of fell into place.Sarah was even more impressive than the house. She responded quickly to my questions about the stay. Her instructions were clear and concise. Most importantly, there were things about the stay that separated it from other places, from her fresh farm eggs, to the fire pit and beautiful back yard, to the bottled waters and popcorn that were supplied for us. Not only was the property beautiful, the location was excellent, and the everything just felt like it was well thought out. I would 100% book again and I would recommend to anyone staying in Charleston… or for anyone who also might need a bit of fresh air from breaking up the monotony of random hotel/motel on the way to their destination. Thanks, Sarah, for a great stay!

This place is amazing!! I don’t topically do reviews unless it was a terrible experience or an awesome one. This was an awesome one. Owner was so respite and the house was cozy, adorable, quiet, accommodating and overall wonderful.
