It was perfect! But....

What a romantic stay in a spectacular location! The service was way above expectation. We were simply dazzled! (But two things essential to our modern life were missing. With all the historic interpretation of the property, there ought to have been more historic research and credit given to the talented enslaved artisans who actually built the home. Also, an energy audit to seal air leaks would have been valuable during the restoration.) All said, the owner's preservation efforts were extraordinary, the property was made lavishly comfortable for guests, and the opportunity to "live" in an historic home that helped shape Charleston as we know it was an incredible treat.

Wonderful stay in Charleston!

My husband and I were traveling with another couple and we all truly enjoyed our stay. The location, ambiance, food and staff were all wonderful. Our room in the Carriage House was comfortable and inviting. We would definitely love to stay here again!
