"Great place to stay "
A little out of town (not such a bad thing) but good location to relax - only a short drive to town. Shaded sights & variety of cabins including limited accessibly cabin. Stayed in a deluxe studio chalet which was self-contained, clean & quite spacious. Loved the touch with the cabins being named after location “icons” or places in the area & then a history of that place in the cabin (ie Jetty, OTC). Great camping & laundry facilities. Food nights – spud night, roast roll night & pancake breakys are held on various days throughout the week which is a great idea. There’s a pool & bowling green in which to relax. You can also stock up at the “Honesty Box” fruit & veg stall at reception which go direct to the local growers. Great place to stay & from what we saw, very popular. While in Carnarvon – Drive along the North & South River roads for an insight into the fruit & veg industry in the area. While the shops are seasonal, it’s still worth the short drive around the river. Just 400m up from Wintersun CP, Morel’s is open daily & sells seasonal fresh fruit & veg along with some great chocolate coated bananas! Visit the blowholes (about 75km out of town) Ride the coffee pot train at One Mile Jetty

Pleasant stay. Great restaurant... Tad pricey but fresh vegetables and beautifully cooked Barra. Bathroom tucked behind entry door but clean. Bit dark in the shower though. Very friendly staff. Check your freezer tray as ours was full of water and flooded the floor. Nice quiet location. Reasonable value.

First settled in the 1880s, Carnarvon is a thriving mining, agricultural and fishing area. A great way to start exploring this gorgeous seaside town is to visit the Carnarvon Heritage Precinct and the Lighthouse Cottage Museum to find out more about the area, and then walk or take a ride on the Coffee Pot Train down the famous One Mile Jetty.

You’ll be in some of nature’s most beautiful places wherever you go but there are a few must-see spots. The Bibbawarra Bore is only 22km from Carnarvon.
