Very nice quiet apartment of 110 sqm, in building of character with stained glass windows, moldings, high ceilings, beautiful volumes. Completely renovated for 6 to 8 people. 1 bedroom with 140 bed, 1 bedroom with 2 beds 140, sofa bed 140 in the living room, 1 large bathroom with Italian shower. Separate WC.
You will stay in Square Gambetta, ideally located 10 minutes walk from the medieval city and 5 minutes from the city center. In summer the municipal pool is 10 minutes walk along the banks of the Aude quietly
Free parking 2 minutes or fee just in front of the apartment. Station 10 minutes walk. Airport shuttle 2 minutes.
You will find everything necessary for a pleasant stay: washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, sheets and towels provided, kitchen.
A private and shaded courtyard of 35m² will welcome you for a moment of relaxation after enjoying our beautiful region.

The place is in a good location close to the Cite. The only issues are that one bedroom is close to the main road which can be loud with cars. The other issue is the password for the wifi needs to be typed out as reading the hand written one was very difficult. Great host and even brought us extra toilet paper. It’s overall a good place to go and very private.

Well located, near old city and main shopping, short walk to train and canal du midi. Host was responsive to queries.Improvements, outside area to be swept and chairs cleaned, plus solar lighting on stairs would be safer when coming back in the dark.

Carcassonne- Gateway to south of france

Location is excellent. We rented a car and travelled to Monticello Carlo, Cannes, and Marseille. Visited several wine houses in the area Limouix etc. Recommend Le Table de la Vatican and Le Divine Comedie near the rental. The rental is large and building old which offers character and takes you back in time But it needed to be aired out-musty; it was cold but host was unable to change and no smart tv. Overall, a good place to stay

Wonderful location close to the town and a short walk to the old bridge to go the cite. Perhaps a bit dark but the evenings were fine.

Fabulous place to stay!

This is a wonderful place to stay. It is located close to the town and to the cite - so you can walk to both for a great holiday. It has a lovely outdoor area which was sunny but cool and the house was a haven from the hot weather. The check in and check out process were easy and as explained beforehand. Thank you - we will be coming back again to visit.

Location is excellent - 20 minute walk to old city. Rooms are large. Living and dining area good, bedrooms not so good. Bedroom with 2 doubles was dark and not especially clean. Very strange bedding all of which is old and needs replacing. Pillows were awful. Electrical sockets in unhelpful places. Kitchen well equipped. Outside space could be charming but it was dirty and had poor quality furniture. Needs an upgrade. Towels were also limited in supply and poor quality.

Great location and quirky apartment

Stayed for 3 nights in May 2024. The apartment is really quirky, well serviced and contains all you need for a short stay. The location is excellent 3 mins walk from the bridge to the old town and 3 mins from the new town centre with its lovely shops and restaurants. There is a little road noise in the front bedroom. The outside space wasn’t really usable for my family.

Carcasonne weekend

The apartment is in an excellent location. We had 2 nights and we could walk to the castle city within 10-12 minutes and we were also near to the city centre the other side and had a lovely tapas meal out .

Easy to find. Very well positioned for both medieval city and centre of Carcassonne. Didn’t realise it was a basement property with one bedroom close to the main road. However it suited our needs and enjoyed our stay.

Clean and comfortable apartment in Carcassonne

This beautiful apartment in Carcassonne was a great place for our family getaway to Carcassonne (1 almost-3-year-old, 2 parents, 2 grandparents). The check-in and check-out process was very easy, the apartment is clean and well-furnished. It was an easy walk to the castle and to the more modern city center. Our son loved the public square just across from the apartment, with its playground and wonderful children's fountain (perfect for cooling off on a hot afternoon!). The stairs to reach the larger bedroom are rather steep so we were careful to accompany our son every time he wanted to climb them. It is perhaps obvious but is worth pointing out that the apartment is not adapted for people with mobility issues, as you must take a flight of 14 steps down to reach the front door. Once there, however, most of the apartment is on one level or only one step up (wc, large and classy Italian shower). The owner responded promptly to any questions we had, and our stay was smooth and comfortable. We would return again!

Stayed 3 nights and had a very good experience overall. Most amenities you could think of are available in the apartment. Owner is very responsive. Apartment is large and nice inside. Location is great for most Carcassonne activities. The towels could have been a little better and there was not enough paper, but those are minor issues. The apartment fit my family of 5 easily.

Elegant Central Property On Gambetta

Very clean and elegant property with tasteful decor in an attractive building. Great location on the laid back Gambetta Square with a wonderful view of the medieval city only a stroll away. Just to be aware, one side of the property looks out onto street level, the other side onto a back courtyard. The courtyard has great potential, but is not so developed that one would sit out for breakfast or such. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay, felt quite private, property was well equipped, would return again and can only recommend. Thanks for everything!

Wonderful apartment and location, but it’s quirky

This spacious, beautifully decorated flat is located close enough to the rail station to walk, and close to great shopping. The fortress of Carcassonne lies across the river and is also a short, uphill walk away. The only drawbacks were the uneven floor levels and a little traffic noise from a busy street. It’s plenty large for 4 or more but has only one bathroom. We recommend.

Beautiful and so well located. Literally right below the medieval castle and right by the river walk. Loved having so much room to move around. Decor was very classy. Bed was comfortable. Well supplied. Host was a good communicator. Will definitely recommend property.

Lovely and spacious

Stayed here as a family of 4 during July. The apartment is very convenient to both the restaurant / cafe area in town (4 blocks) and to the old city / castle (15 minute walk). Very spacious rooms with high ceilings, lovely quiet courtyard, fully outfitted kitchen and modern bathroom with shower. Slightly warm (it was 95 degrees outside each day) but fan helped and the courtyard side stays cool. Really enjoyed our stay, and the owner’s instructions were perfect.

Beautiful, spacious and clean flat right by historic Carcassonne!

You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here! Beautiful (and large) apartment within walking distance of historic Carcassonne. Very comfortable, clean, and beautiful decor and stained glass! Also, there is convenient and close parking.
