We stayed here for 13 nights as a multi generational family. Two air conditioning units were installed in the two main bedrooms earlier this year at our request and we were so thankful for that. Unfortunately, two more of the front bedrooms didn’t have air con & were unbearably hot! It was 37 degrees the day we arrived, and the portable fans just didn’t do anything to cool those two rooms. My two year old granddaughter was in one of them, and we couldn’t get the room to cool down below 31 degrees, so we had to bring her into our room for several days - not ideal. My son, his wife & 1 year old were in the other front bedroom without air conditioning, and they found it impossible to get a good nights sleep for many of the nights we were there. They were almost at the point of trying to get a hotel somewhere. We ended up using blankets, taped onto the guttering and railings to make shade sails outside the rooms, on the balcony. I have since spoken with Charl, the house manager, and I’m told that two more air con units will be fitted this month. The house is spacious & has several different outside areas for eating and relaxing, with lovely views. Kitchen is well equipped. The area is very nice & we felt safe & secure at the house. Philly, the house keeper is delightful & very helpful. We used Ubers to get around, which were reliable & reasonably cheap.
